Barry Goldwater believed that the Constitution meant what it said and did not need to be revised reviewed or changed. He supported low taxes and a strong defence. He also railed about the thought police in our bedrooms and schools where to quote him "They have no damn right to interfere in our free right to do as we damn well please."
He fought wasteful spending because it was our money not the governments. Progressive taxes were wrong and not allowed in the Constitution. All taxes and levies must be as to population or equally divided equally amongst the citizens based on a head count. There are many ways the Forefathers tried to protect the citizens from wealth removal from citizens for government purposes.
These unfair actions started the Goldwater conservative movement that carried the country through the Reagan Presidency. Goldwater was the father of the party not Reagan.
Here is another step in the trip of a thousand miles.

Fifty-eight percent (58%) of likely voters say it is at least somewhat likely the next president of the United States will be a Republican, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
The number has been trending in this direction since Democrat Barack Obama took office in January and is up 14 points since then.
Thirty-one percent (31%) of voters see it as Very Likely that the next president will be a Republican.
The survey was taken on Tuesday and Wednesday nights of this past week, but the question did not specify whether the next president will be elected in 2012 or 2016. Republicans recaptured the governorships of New Jersey and Virginia in elections on Tuesday
(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook.
Just 29% of voters now say it is not very or not at all likely the next president will be from the GOP, the lowest level found all year and down nine points from January.
Sixty-six percent (66%) of men expect the next president to be a Republican, compared to 52% of women.
Eighty-five percent (85%) of Republicans see a member of their party winning the presidency as likely, including 57% who see it as very likely. Sixty percent (60%) of voters not affiliated with either major party think they're right, but just 31% of Democrats agree.
Looking less far ahead, a plurality (49%) of voters now say it is at least somewhat likely that Republicans will win control of Congress next year. Fifty-two percent (52%) say Republicans are the party most likely to gain seats in Congress in next year’s mid-term elections.
However, 73% of GOP voters think members of their party in Congress have lost touch with Republican voters throughout the nation.
Fifty-five percent (55%) of all voters expect politics in Washington, D.C. to become more partisan over the next year. Forty-eight percent (48%) think passing good legislation is a more important role for Congress that preventing bad legislation from becoming law. But nearly as many voters (46%) believe it’s more important for Congress to stop bad bills before they’re passed into law.
Forty-five percent (45%) of adults say they would be at least somewhat likely to vote for Obama if he was up for reelection right now. Forty-nine percent (49%) say they would be unlikely to vote for the president’s reelection.
Recent polling also shows that 27% of voters think Hillary Clinton would be doing a better job as president than Obama while 49% say she would be performing about the same.
yaknow - Hillary was my 'NO F------ Way' person until BO came along.. and I'll admit frequent thoughts that she wouldn't have been THIS bad. But then sanity quickly returns and I realize the oracle puppet script isn't really concerned with which puppet got the role.
Speaking of Hillary-- did anybody else hear or see her speech/introduction at the Berlin Wall thingy today?? my background tv played it and it sounded absolutely surreal. Her speaking pattern combined with the live-feed (or video) of the oracle puppet speaking to the crowd. It all sounded right out of any number of dark 1984 or end-times stories... very erie
this pic got me thinking-kinda wish ole Tomb woulda bucked up,did some studying and stuck around. He once said he thinks he is too young to feel the impact of the word socialism and asked why us old folks find it so scary. This pic is the answer I wish I'da had ready then - Because we saw East and West Germany! Socialism and Freedom were a few feet apart at the same time. The East German folks WERE NOT the happy ones.
The East German folks were not happy because all of a sudden they had the economic impact of all these people that had suffered under communism for so long and suddenly needed feeding, clothing, medical care, jobs, transportation, AND THEY HAD NOTHING TO CONTRIBUTE TO PAY FOR IT BECAUSE OF THE COMMIES.
This was still true to a lesser degree as recently as 2000 as they (Germany's economy) still had not recuperated financially. On one hand, they wanted US bases to leave so they would have the land; and on the other hand, they needed the US bases to stay because many germans work on the bases. Biden's old 3 letter word "JOBS" still very much applies.
Young people like Tomb have been ill educated about the Constitution and real freedom it brings. They have been trained to accept the idea of social justice (Socialism/Marxism) or caring and providing. Those needing care must therefor "TAKE" from those that need (Tax the rich). After years of repeating the fairness of redistribution they actually believe it is working to improve the lives of the poor.
Facts support lost freedoms and overall wealth of the total society. The poor still suffer but receive lip service from the political class and are forced to attend sub par schools with sub par teachers. This promotes generations of school drop outs that must be provided for from the RICH. The facts again prove that the reproduction rates of these poor abused members of ghetto America continue to increase in total numbers. This in turn supplies the Socialists with a continued pool of enslaved voters 100% dependent on the redistribution of wealth because they have no education or job skills.
It is a ever growing problem that the large city ghettos prove the total failure of the above approach. For fifty + years the political class has spent trillions of dollars only to be required to spend trillions more just to maintain the lie that they are helping the poor advance.
Here is a good example to prove the above post about the Tombs of America.
Be Careful Out There:
IDIOT SIGHTING:
We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.' I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, 'NO, it's not.' Four is larger than two...' We haven't used Sears repair since.
IDIOT SIGHTING:
My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter.. She said, 'you gave me too much money.' I said, 'Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back.' She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said 'We're sorry but they could not do that kind of thing.' The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change. Do not confuse the clerks at McD's.
IDIOT SIGHTING:
I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: 'Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don't think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.' From Kingman, KS
IDIOT SIGHTING IN FOOD SERVICE:
My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco. She asked the person behind the counter for 'minimal lettuce.' He said he was sorry, but they only had iceburg lettuce.
IDIOT SIGHTING:
I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, 'Has anyone put anything in your baggage with out your knowledge?' To which I replied, 'If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?' He smiled knowingly and nodded, 'That's why we ask.'
Happened in Birmingham, Ala.
IDIOT SIGHTING :
The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, 'What on earth are blind people doing driving?!' She was a probation officer in Wichita, KS
IDIOT SIGHTING:
At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker. She was leaving the company due to 'downsizing.' Our manager commented cheerfully, 'This is fun. We should do this more often.' Not another word was spoken. We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare. This was a lunch at Texas Instruments.
IDIOT SIGHTING:
I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the sake of her life, couldn't understand why her system would not turn on.
A deputy with the Dallas County Sheriffs office, no less.

When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. 'Hey,' I announced to the technician, 'its open!' His reply, 'I know. I already got that side.' This was at the Ford dealership in Canton, MS
STAY ALERT!
They walk among us... And the scary part is that they
VOTE and they REPRODUCE
that 'confuse the cashier' thing is far too common.. no grasp of concept at all.
sorry to be being me again here-but this whole terrorist at Ft.Hood thing.. I think we should be very careful and aware on this. This is exactly the type of event that we could give up liberties over.
Lisa kit you are correct - look at the gun control acts which require checks with the NIC and ATF before a regular citizen can purchase a hand gun or rifle. This dirt bag went into a Waco gun store and purchased two 5.7 pistols which are commonly called cop killers and the most popular pistol of the drug dealers. The local Bass pro calls the ATF when someone tries to purchase two of these guns, this is after the NIC system gives approval to sell the guns to the buyer.
If the FBI, the National security people, the Army, the CIA and who ever else was investigating this guy, why was this guy not flagged and the purchase at least delayed while they do further checking. The gun control system does not work and will never keep bad guys from getting guns - it is time to admit it and do away with gun checks.
Guns for the most part are ILLEGAL in Mexico and you go to jail for having one. Has it kept guns out of the drug army hands - hell no just the law abiding citizens that can not protect their homes and families.
At the same time, the local fast foods had to shut down when someone hit a pole and knocked the power out. The food bins were well stocked, but the 'cashiers' couldn't make change. Under normal operations, they would give the food for free when a question was raised about the order. Do not know the places stay in business. THIS IS THE CALIBRE THAT THE LOCAL SCHOOLS ARE PRODUCING.
NJ has some of the best paid teachers in the country and the most poorly educated students. Some of the Abbott districts (poor/underprivileged) graduate less than 1/3 and 40% of those pass the test they give to the intellegence challenged. So, EMPLOYER BEWARE and check which diploma those grads are getting. Better yet, apply your own employment test.
The fact is that the vast majority of those new births are to single parent households which makes the parent eligible for section 8 housing. Section 8 pays 80% of their rent and eliminates the 2 parent issue. Guess who pays and therefore contributes to the breakdown of the family.
