What's with these people? The local GOP bosses pick the most left wing 'republican' they can find (Dede Scozzafava) in a solidly GOP district, and the NRCC throws their full support behind her even though a conservative Republican (Doug Hoffman) has entered the race under the banner of the Conservative Party (In New York, where 'third parties' actually matter, the Conservative Party usually endorses GOP candidates unless they are super liberal). All the high profile conservative organizations such as the Club For Growth are supporting Hoffman, so the least the NRCC could do it stay neutral in the race, but instead they are supporting the liberal handpicked by the local party bosses. Thanks to this, the Democrat may end up winning the seat. Way to go, great job NRCC! Then the NRCC wants to know why we don't want to send them money.

I guess we're just supposed to be grateful that one Republican had the balls to do what is right and run under the Conservative Party rather than let another RINO poison the Republican Party without a fight. I live in NY but that's not my district. We usually have the choice between a liberal republican or a liberal democrat...so I vote third party. If you want to see the way some New York Republicans act...look up Thomas Gulotta (former Nassau County Executive):

"At first, Gulotta was a popular county executive. During the 1990's, Nassau County became increasingly plagued by budget problems. Nassau had the lowest bond rating in the country and was forced to near bankruptcy. Nassau County, once the epitome of suburban life, had notoriously high taxes and growth was at a standstill compared with next door Suffolk County, New York. By the end of his fourth term, Gulotta's popularity had plummeted and the Democratic Party had taken control of the county legislature for the first time in a generation."
