Let's face it, folks. A huge part of winning an election is having more money that your opponent. During this past campaign, I constantly received letters from the RNC asking for more money in amounts ranging from $25 to $5,000. I contributed all I could but, again, lets face it, how many out there can cough up five grand, or even $500.? I have a far better plan that would raise a huge amount of money for all our campaigns on the national and/or state level. Why doesn't the RNC create a website where you could donate $5, $10, $20 every month? Most of us wouldn't miss a small amount each month and if enough people signed on for this monthly donation it could become a huge amount!

I've been involved in a number of campaigns and it is always the huge number of small donors that make the difference.

You can donate on a monthly basis, all you do is fill out the form and ask that they take the funds on a certain day each month. If you do not want them to take the money themselves, then mail the checks out on the same day. Political campaigns will ask you for $5 Billion on Monday and then on Friday call again seeking more funds, it is the nature of the beast.

The question is, how do we get the RNC to contact everyone and offer this solution.

On the website. Also on any handouts and on each candidates website. It is easy to set up if you have a semi-decent web design team. Paypal it if there seems to be an issue. That last one was a joke for all you e-bay'rs out there.

Oh, the cost of the 2012 Presidential elections will cost $1 Billion per candidate.

Forgive me, however the RNC will have to really show me some fire & passion before I take any of my $$ from specific candidates & give to the organization.

The problem with that attitude is, you will never be satisfied and conservatives will not have the financial funding to compete, this is the biggest reason McCain lost. He is not enough for me I will deny what ever chance real conservatives have to be thrown away because I disagree on one candidate. The change we need is not going to happen before 2010 or 2012. I would be surprised if we were ready for the 2016 Presidential elections because too many people want what cannot be attained right now. Work with us and we will get there. Work against us, we will NEVER get there. Your choice, but please, think really hard about those who need that candidate you oppose win in order to get conservatives in office.

I was suggesting that the fund be used strictly for candidates for offices. A specific percentage would be designated for the presidential candidate, while the balance would be used for candidates from and in individual state races.

That would be a great comprimise. Make the candidates work for the funding. Goes well with the original thread.

I am planning to increase my funding to the GOP no matter what. It takes money to bring together coalitions that bring true leadership. I think the GOP lost most of their conservative COngressment because of a lack of funding because moderate and liberal republicans kept their seats in 2008. Especially in the Northeast.

I said earlier, if Obama doles out a $1,000 rebate check, every swinging republican should turn right around and send that monies to the RNC/GOP. Think about how much that would put into the coffers. That would also send a huge message to the rest of the country that we put our money where our mouth is.

problem with that little check is that many people that can really use it will not recieve it. I have never got a stimulus and with the Pres I qualified for a refund -first time ever-and didnt recieve it

the money goes to debt collectors, back child support, back alimony, small court levies, unpaid traffic fines. If a series of Chits came out for per se -WalMart, non Union food markets and such then we will really get a result from these stimulus checks. I should put this reply in its own topic but fear it will turn into a commercial

I hope there will be something done about the monies Osambo got. The GOP alwaystrails in donations and when we are against the whole world of the elite socialist we see what happens donation wise. We are not and never have been the party of the wealthy and can not compete,
