The lesson to learn is those who actually, really stuck to their principles won. Those who wallowed in corruption or hem-hawed around "moderate" to socialist economics lost. Trying to "moderate" & be the "diet Coke" version of Democrats is not going to win anything except a subservient permanent minority.

A good article, but not an entirely complete picture.

What they didn't say is that many Europeans are also sick of political correctness and trouble from Islamic immigrants, the conservatives under Berlusconi in Italy and his allies the Northern League (conservative party advocating decentralization) won big in this election and have maintained a steady control of Italy, which previously was very volatile ever since WWII and changed governments frequently. Some smaller parties in Austria, the Netherlands, and Great Britain campaigning against radical Islam made gains in this election as well.

That may be true buu the fact of the matter is the global left and European left is paying for the economic recession right now. Some exceptions like the right in Italy have held onto their power. Europe naturally is a left slanted land and for the right to hold on in Europe means they needs to make progress and quickly.

For better examples look at what the left has done to Europe. In the UK the labor party has raised taxes up to 50%, not including other taxes and still they have a debt and massive inflation. In Germany before the right took over the economy was stagnant with negative growth in a boom in the world economy and in France the left destroyed any immigration policy sanity. In Germany, Italy and France the right has held its own. Now we get to see if the right in the UK can join that club.

According to this in the recent elections the 3 main right of center parties (Conservatives, UK Indepence Party, British National Party) got a combined 50.4% of the vote and the main left of center parties (Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green, Scottish National Party, Plaid Cymru) got a combined 40.9% of the vote. The rest went to a variety of fringe parties.

Good video. I was unaware until recently that Russia had given this monument to us.

Which makes me wonder, what's the deal with the so-called 'conservatives' (in the media) who insist on bashing Russia at every turn? Did these people not get the memo that Russia isn't communist anymore?

Thanks Jason. I don't want to "throw them out" of the party; however, the moderate/subservient/minority mentality is not what we or the country need right now. We need Bold colors, authentic passion for the conservative Republican values which win elections & govern effectively when implemented.
