I really hope that the Republican party leadership is listening to the thoughts and ideas on this website. Here's my 2 cents worth:
-Get rid of the pork-condoms, arts, carbon research.
-system of public accountability-for any company who received or will receive bailout/stimulus funds they should be required to public disclose how and where the funds were spent and a auditor should be assigned to verify and track these funds.
-How about a cap on what percentage credit cards companies can charge consumers-in the short term.
-In light of the circumstances, why hasn't anyone been prosecuted or fired?
-We got to get housing back on track

How about the government just get it's sticky fingers out of our pockets and off the economy, that's what I'd like to see. Stop meddling where the government does not belong.

Yes, but the Republican Party adheres to Keynesian principles (less Ron Paul, of course, who is a staunch advocate of Austrian Free Market Economics) so they don't fully comprehend the errors inherently found in advocating any sort of "stimulus" bill. Republicans are not a true opposition party to the Democrats because they both have the SAME incorrect underlying philosophical principles which are rooted in Keynesianism. Why won't the Republican Party embrace the principles of Austrian Free Market Economics being espoused by the only man to boldly and repeatedly predict this economic crisis, Ron Paul, who courageous did so even at the expense of being ridiculed and laughed at by his ignorant fellow party members such as the "economic guru" Mitt Romney (who had NO CLUE this economic crisis was brewing) and the "pro-authoritarian national Id Card pusher" Giuliani?

How about they re-introduce the Ryan-Sununu Social Security Reform legislation?

How about throwing it in the garbage can? It's going to take a thousand years to pay this money back as it is.

ELIMINATE IT is our ONLY answer if we want to keep America alive. I have been pounding EVERY US Senators office over this and I have told them that their political careers are dependant upon this bills failure. I have been laughed at, hung up on and only 3 said I was true and asked what they could do. I have been e-mailing, faxing and snail mailing them also and plan to get someone soon calling me banning me from communicating with their offices, which I will then sue them for illegal representation in courts. My US Senator Arlan Spector told me (well a staffer did) that I was a royal asshole and a pain in the ass, didn't I know he had more work to do then to listen to my dribble and he has a re-election campaign to attend to. My response was....I am a PA voter, his re-election is only secure if he protects us from Obama, if not, think about retiring because he lost my vote. Oh I told them I was running for PA State office and planned to help his opposition, so I asked her to relay the message that PA opposes the ENTIRE stimulus bill and to vote it down completely.

ATTABOY Michael ! - I've not gone that far, but my 'reps' all have gotten emails from me too

now there's reports of schools that allow prayer not being eligible for the funds designated for school systems. -- this is not a stimulus bill, it's an assault bill.

OH,the nerve, criminy I'd campaign against them for that crap,Spector is a liberal anyway, aren't there any conservatives that would run against him? Geesh what jerks, and those people that laughed at you, nice huh? They forget so well that they are supposed to work for us. These politicians are getting way too arrogant and forgetting we're the bosses,of course alot of voters have forgotten that too. Hope you keep giving them the dickens Michael.

Government is too big and too cocky. Time to take to the streets!

Time to cancel the "Stimulus". It has nothing to do with helping the economy. It's a power grab, while they can.

It's turning on the Dems. Even the fainting front row at the Obama rallies can see this is a load of crap.
