I attended a similar rally with Pres. Reagan and it was structured the same. They did not allow any dissenters in, just supporters, so it comes as no surprise that it appeared to look like a big crowd of supporters. You don't get to jeer the President, even at a Town Hall mtg.

Gene, you are correct. Strong leaders who uphold the core conservative Republican beliefs will draw those called moderate to those beliefs.

If the GOP realizes its principles are real and will get conservative candidates elected and remain in office if they act on them, things will change.

For a long time now the Republican Party has had many problems, at every level, but the question is how to correct this problem, this RINO problem. The mistake being made is not realizing this is all out war, a war against progressivism and socialism, and an attack on our values and The Constitution. There are many books on warfare but the best may be from Sun Tzu and has an excellent teaching on how to get anyone to follow orders. Ok, maybe doing exactly as Sun Tzu did may not be socially acceptable but the Republican Party has to do something.

To some degree there is room for "Movement" in conservatism. Conservatism ought to be understood as maintaining the principles stated in the Declaration of Independence and applied in the Constitution. The Constitution, even given the egregious mistake of the 16th amendment, does not authorize limitless taxation. Call it what you will, but the Cap and Trade disaster is nothing more than a power grab. It has no basis, other than an effort to destroy industry, to exist. Some "law" isn't law because it gets voted in, nor is it Constitutional because 9 black robed individuals claim it so.

This is a vote wherein each of these eight congressman should have stood on principle and voted against it. And explained why in great detail to their constituents back home. Why vote for democrat lite when you can get the real thing. Show the difference to make a difference.
