I see some of you live in North Alabama. I'd like to invite you to learn more about Paul Sanford and consider volunteering on his campaign. We can take the first step toward winning the state senate in 2010 right now. The election is in June so there is still time to get involved. http://sanfordforsenate.com. He's on Facebook too. By the way, I actually have nothing to do with the campaign right now because I am in Tuscaloosa, but plan on heading up there next week to see what I can do.

Seems to be going fairly well. It's a good race between Givhan and Sanford. Check out Flashpoint Blog for some good info.

How is the Senate District 7 race going? I think the last day to register to vote in that special election is April 10th (Friday) and the runoff is on April 21st.

Alabama Citizens.

Obama told the Turks; "America is not a Christian Nation." Since went is American not a nation based on Judeo-Christian concepts? On our currency is "In God We Trust" Obama is catering to the Muslim world.

Hey guys and gals. I know this is great place to get connected and informed but if you're into movin' and shakin', I'd suggest that you also get plugged into http://dontgo.ning.com/. They are one of the sponsors of the nation wide Tax Day Tea Parties and are working on other big plans as we speak.

It's a perfect place for activists, who make it happen and let their voices be heard, and bloggers, the ones who really dig into stories and are leading the big news stories of the future. Just read the front page and the Movement's goals.

It's more of a State network, rather than just a national group site. Meaning it exists more than just in the digital world. It's backed up with the actual (eg. breaking original news stories and putting physical bodies at demonstrations/protest/celebrations).

Something worth digging into.

Just to let everyone know, Tim James is going to be at the Belk Center on March 2nd at 6:00. I'd be happy to see any of you there!

Hey guys and gals. I know people in here are itching to be an active participant and help jump-start this whole right-online movement. So if you're a blogger and would like to be a contributor to a state/national news group or if you're a tech geek and would like to use your powers for good and not evil, check out this page (http://newsplatoon.com/help-wanted/). Hopefully something will strike your fancy.

If you don't see anything that applies to you but know of somebody that might be interested, please point them to this page as well.

Alabama 2010 Gov Race.

There is a list of maybe's. Look on www.politicalparlor.net. Once there look under the 2010 Big List. There you will find state offices with the maybe candidates.

I don't think Beth Chapman will run for Gov as she can run for Sect of State one more term.

I'm in the Huntsville area. I don't know about Beth Chapman running. I've only been catching the brief descriptions of some who are running but I don't remember her name mentioned ... yet.
Is there a list somewhere of the open elections coming up. i.e. What's up for election, who's running, etc.?
