Please consider,
All Presidential primaries should be closed, allowing only Party members to vote.
I would like your opinions.

A New Year Blessing

May the road you walk be a smooth one, May your troubles be few – if any,
May the days and years that lie ahead Be healthy, happy, and many, May you have friends in abundance, May the sun shine bright around you, May the world be a wonderful place to live, And may God’s love always surround you. Hope you have a joyful new year and many happy years ahead!

I will not establish a timetable until the "Mission and Plan" thread is officially closed. This way, we have an opportunity to hear some more input before committing to a specific deadline. Also, I am working on a sort of "membership drive" for our group; I would like to see the "Gone Wrong" discussion remain open until at least Sunday so that any newcomers can participate.

As always, suggestions from all are always cherished.

Dearest Friends:

As promised, we now have a new discussion titled, "Our Mission and Purpose". Take a look, and tell me what you think.

As soon as we all agree on exactly what we're here to accomplish, we can get started on the fun part - making a real impact on the Michigan GOP.

If all goes well, I'd like to see us really start to turn heads by time the new County officials are elected in January.

Best regards:

.Please allow me to start by apologizing to all of you.

I spend 5 wonderful years in Michigan, at Worthsmith Air Force Base.

My first car was a Chevy. I loved it, it was powerful and Beautiful. I no longer drive a GM car. Why? They cost too much, there unreliable, and weak. Oh, here Texas, We once built GM vehicles, in a plant near Dallas. The plant is closed, in large part, because of Local Government regulations, and tax policies of the last Democrat President.

Please understand what happens in Michigan affects me, directly. During these discussions, remember, we must look forward, lets us provide answers to how create a strong business environment in Michigan and in the nation, at large. I would like see a strong General Motors.
When GM is strong, the nation is strong.

It would seem to me that the first order of business and appropriate starting point would be to define our current reality.

Absolutely. It sounds like we are on the same page here, Dave. Implementing permanent, meaningful change to our State will take quite some time - after all, we didn't get to this point overnight.

Any change that will come to the State will be the cumulative effect of changes initiated locally. Any changes that we can effect locally will be attained by repairing and retooling our local Party groups. Any improvements that we make to these local groups will start with the way we change ourselves, in both ethic and action.

But "A changes B, changes C, changes D" is a rather complicated machine to operate. Before we start to fiddle with A, we need to determine where D currently is, where it needs to go, and how to best get it there. Even a slight miscalculation to A could bring D far off course.
