Greetings,

What do we do now that the Senate votes 60-39 to begin debate on the consolidated version of the Nationalized Health Care bill? In spite of all of our efforts.

We need to step back and look at our original objective. This year was a delaying action, a year spent on defense. All the checks and balances that have preserved our country for over two hundred years were neutralized by the combination of a single party government, a hung Supreme Court, a radical left media dominating our channels of information, and a host of radicals being appointed to executive level positions in our government without the need for Senate confirmation. Those few appointees that did need and received Senate confirmation, such as Attorney General Holder, were not men of independent stature and integrity that would enforce the Constitution against their own colleagues. Against these impossible odds, we have exceeded beyond our wildest imagination. In the past six months we have come within a few votes of winning in every major battle. In the past six months, the radicals have put everything they have behind passing Cap and Trade and Nationalized Health Care into law. We have denied them that victory. George Washington would be impressed.

2009 was just the year that we had to fight off the alligators. If we have to swat an alligator again it will be a temporary diversion from our primary objective. In 2010 we will go on offense, and drain the swamp. We need to focus on changing the political landscape, and change the balance of forces. That means we have to continue educating the public, building our numbers, building our capabilities and mobilizing a grassroots organization that can Get Out The Vote (GOTV).

We will be promoting a number of different events and activities in the future, and encouraging everyone to participate. But we are now less than a year from the next General Election, and it will be in that election that the fate of our nation will be decided. If you want to get a head start on the year ahead, request a precinct map and a "walking list" of registered voters in your precinct from your County Board of Education. It's time to get to know your neighbors, and to make sure they vote in 2010.

This coming week, enjoy your Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for, and it is good to set aside the concerns of this world in order to give thanks to our Creator.

Greetings,

It is critical that we not let up now, even as the radical left is "tripling down" in desperation to transform America. Hopefully we will make so much noise this coming week that Washington will not even hear the Organizing for America effort that is planned to contact legislators to show their support of Nationalized Health Care.

Below is an Action Alert from the Ohio Jobs and Justice PAC concerning the Vitter Amendment to House Bill 2847. Last week a vote was recorded to invoke cloture on the bill so that it could not be filibustered. That vote failed, but a motion to reconsider was also made before adjournment for the week. HR 2847, the vote to reconsider and the Vitter may return to the Senate floor at any time with little or no notice.

Contact information for Ohio Congressmen and Senators can be accessed at http://mcfan.org/congressmen.aspx and http://mcfan.org/ussenators.aspx.

We urge you to make repeated calls not only to their Washington office but also to their local offices where you are more likely to get through. We also encourage you to write a very brief message to fax to them, and if you have time to cut and paste it into their email forms. The more times you try, and the more different ways you try to contact them, the more they will get the point.

The reason we are including Congressmen on this Action Alert is to also encourage you to contact them and to urge them to sign the Discharge Petition to force Speaker Nancy Pelosi to bring House Resolution 554 out of Committee where it is being held up, to the floor of the House for a vote. H. Res. 554 would require that any bill be posted to the internet for 72 hours before being voted upon.

Following is the Action Alert; it addresses a Game Changer that could give greater representation to states with high populations of illegal aliens:

Critical Issue: Ohio to be harmed by 2010 Census if illegal aliens included in count!

Your help needed immediately to support Vitter Amendment!
Background: U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) plans to submit an amendment to the Commerce, Justice, and Science appropriations bill to address the problem of illegal aliens skewing the 2010 Census results. The Vitter amendment would require the U.S. Census Bureau to add questions regarding immigration & citizenship status to the 2010 decennial census. If the amendment fails, illegal aliens will be counted in the census and states that have large populations of illegals will unfairly gain Congressional seats and Ohio will likely loose one or more Congressional districts and therefore have less influence in Congress and in future presidential elections.
What should you do?
Please call Ohio's U.S. Senators' Sherrod Brown and George Voinovich and urge them to support Sen. Vitter's census amendment. Call the Washington DC office and or their district offices in Ohio.
What should you say when the staff answers the phone? "Please ask the Senator to support Senator Vitter's amendment to the Commerce, Justice, and Science appropriations bill to protect Ohio from losing one or more Congressional districts. If illegal aliens are counted during the 2010 Census, states like California, Texas, and New York will likely gain Congressional districts and Ohio will lose one or more districts. Thank you."
DC Toll Free Numbers: 1-866-340-9281 (ask Capitol operator to be connected with the US Senators' offices. ) (If line become busy, try 1-877-851-6437 or 1-866-220-0044.)
(Ohio District Toll Free Number for Sherrod Brown: 888-896-6446)
What else can you do? Call other Senators using the toll-free number:
Get your friends and family to make calls too!

For those of you in NE Ohio....

Greetings,

This coming Saturday, October 10 we will be hosting our public forum breakfast at 8:30 AM at the Golden Corral in Medina. We are focusing on the November ballot issues and candidates.

Guest speakers will be informing us about ballot issues #2 and #3. In addition we will be offering those in attendance the opportunity to spend up to 3 minutes to tell us about themselves if they are a candidate, or to tell us what they know about one (or more) of the candidates. The meeting will be an excellent way to get informed in preparation for the November general election.

We encourage you to call the candidates in your area and find out about them; their background, values and goals, if they are elected. Feel free to invite them to come to our breakfast on the 10th or the 24th of October to meet you or talk to our group face-to-face.

Please check the events calendar at http://www.meetup.com/The-Medina-We-Surround-Them/calendar/ and/or the home page http://www.ohiofan.org on our website; the Ohio Christian Alliance Fall Freedom Banquet is on October 15, the Buckeye Firearms Association's Buckeye Bash in on October October 17. These are great events you won't want to miss.

We will be manning a MCFAN table at the Medina County Gun Show this Saturday and Sunday.

We are watching the action intently in the U.S. Senate. We encourage you to continue contacting Senators Voinevich and Brown to express your views on Nationalized Health Care and even more importantly, on the unacceptable tactics being employed to prevent public review and comment on this dramatic legislation.

I went on tne Ohiogop website and found that there are groups but none for social conservatives or Christians. That does not seem to be a good sign. I believe social conservatives were instrumental in electing George W. Bush, and we are more motivated now than ever, because of the Obama and related agendas. It is self-defeating for the Republican Party to try to squeeze us out, as if there were plenty to take our place. We really do need to rebuild the party if we are to save the country amd stop Obama's railroad.
