If this doesn't make Americans question Congressional accountability, then I think we may as well just give the United States and everything our American Military have fought and died to preserve over the past 250 years to Mexico!

Hi all,
I'm currently living in Nebraska but I will be moving back to eastern Oregon (La Grande) in the summer. I'd like to get involved in some way but to be honest I don't have a lot of money to donate to campaigns and eastern Oregon looks solidly red. How could my talents best be utilized?

Unless they have some interest in social media and supporting a cause, it will be difficult. You could start by soliciting them for specific strategic ideas they have for moving the party forward. Post them here, twitter, facebook, etc and with a credit to the person. Bring your laptop to the next meeting and show them the responses you got from their idea. You have demonstrated value. That's what it takes to motivate. Hope that helps.

Do you have any ideas on how we can engage friends and family who share our values to use this format for communication of ideas and ideals? I'm hoping to get as many folks from the Clackamas County GOP signed up here.

Agree with you Jim. Let's start by recruiting inspiring candidates for every state and federal district in Oregon and build an infrastructure of grassroots networking to support them. For my part, I took the Sarah Palin route and won a seat on city council this year. Next, a run at Defazio's seat? Probably not, but I'm doing what I can.

I know that one of the goals of Bob Tiernan, the new Oregon GOP Chair is to recruit a candidate for every seat. You can reach him at bobtiernan(at)msn.com.
Get involved any way you can!

If we are going to preserve the 'Oregon' we've always known and loved, Oregon Republicans are going to have to take up the gauntlet and assert our values. I recommend that each of us seriously consider how we can take a more active role in preserving our state - and our nation by becoming a Precinct Committee Person. We are short over 200 PCP's in Clackamas County alone! Even though we recently voted to make the Clackamas County Commission non-partisan, they are currently 100% Democrat! Why? Because Republicans are letting secular liberals dominate our county, our state, and our nation because we will not assert ourselves to prevent it! Why else can laws and judicial rulings ban God from our collective consciousness when 80% of Americans claim to be Christian? Why else can illegal immigrants literally take over our national language and public resources when there is universal objection to illegal immigration?

Hello Oregon RTP!

I see you're getting involved in politics a bit. I reckon I don't have to ask you which party represents American values best! After being involved in politics a bit, myself, I can say with no reservations that our party is the best in the USA - by far!

I'm afraid there are many people in this country though, who either don't know or don't care that our nation is being undermined by complacency and political correctness. Americans need to stand up for the values that we all share, and that bring us together in times of crisis (like 9-11). I think we each need to go out and remind all of our friends and loved ones that we live in the UNITED States of America! It's nice to have diversity and preserve our cultural heritage, but our national language is English and we should all be working for the good of our nation!

Thanks for being a good American!
