Wow, this is a great site! I just joined and I'm exploring...this topic, "Understanding Conservative Thought and Philosophy" is a great one.

We have a lot of work to do as grassroots conservatives...because the liberals/Democrats have it easy. Their philosophy, liberalism, is disseminated to the public through their communication outlets: the liberal media (all networks, most cable stations, all big city newspapers, NPR) as well as through Hollywood movies. They make liberalism seem appealing and normal, and they make conservatism out to be the opposite.

Then there is academia: they promote liberalism, not only in higher education, but from pre-kindergarten through grade school, middle school and high school. This is a systemic problem we also need to work on (get more conservatives into the teaching profession).

But we do have a few things going for us: talk radio and the internet. A lot of people also count "Fox News" as conservative but it really isn't. It is just fair and balanced--they present both sides fairly and allow both sides to speak. To liberals, that is an outrage and a scandal, and they need to be shut down!!!

So, I have read the discussion forums here and will contribute soon. Starting with the "conservative reading" topic. I have many well-written and educational sources on conservatism, many on the internet, that people can read before they delve into the weightier tomes you have already listed.
