I'm cross-posting this from something I just posted in the Code Red Group to see if we get any differing points of view.
In short, the GOP has maintained a long history and tradition of political clout and visibility dating back to the formation of our country. But as portions of the electorate become more ill-informed to favor an entitlement society, and with media outlets becoming increasingly biased in their reporting, the old model of waiting for Brand X to faulter in order to re-claim the majority has demonstrated that we can no longer rely on such a business model in order to maintain a position of leadership.
Some would say that the GOP lost in 2004 and 2008 because it failed to deliver on its promise of freedom and prosperity under President Bush's context of "compassionate conservatism." If you agree with these sentiments, how can technology help the GOP develop a better business model, and what specific tools, strategies and tactics should they employ in order to gain a sustainable advantage that improves integrity, accountability and responsiveness to constituents in order for the party to live up to its promise?
