How about a new contract for America? We sure need one to have for our guide.

David, I like your idea of making everything open. There is no reason that all the conversations have to happen on the campaign or party site.

I think another key component is having one shared registration system that can be used of all campaigns. Wouldn't it be great if I could go to one page to get updates on all my campaign activity. This would also allow campaigns to tailor what users see based on their past activity. Someone who has already donated money and signed up for the newsletter should not see the same thing as a user who has just signed up.

The big takeaway is that it's all about the platform. Unfortunately we typically focus more of the design of campaign sites then we do about investing in a good platform (campaigns come and go too quickly).

I am a candidate for State Rep here in PA (132nd district) and I would love to have ideas and help running the media and others for the campaign. I am new to the district so the local party is not going to fund my campaign so I am syuck trying to come up with what I can on an almost non-existant budget. LOL
I know I can win.

Here's my idea: meta-networking or a network of social networks. Sites like Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter have APIs that allow third-party sites and applications to connect their services. Keeping that in mind, why not create a site that can serve as a searchable directory and hub to individuals and groups on other social networks, along with things like Youtube channels? It would create a single streamlined way to find other conservatives across a range of sites. In addition, you could have a "social news" component where people submit and vote on items of news and things of interest, a la Digg.com.

A second idea is to create a website to host content by conservative creators and artists where a wide range of content could reside; such as written works, music, videos, visual art (like comics), etc. It could then have a digital storefront for site members to offer their wares (including real goods), providing a range of payment options (left up to the seller; they can even offer it for free), like ad-supported content, subscription, micro-payments, auctions, or donations.

Great group Mindy. I have an idea, or an idea for an idea. Seminars or the like regarding running for local offices & how to run these type campaigns. The strength of the grassroots will be increased by fielding local candidates for school board, alderman, mayor, county commissioner & the like. I've attended "candidate schools" before, however they've not focused on the local offices.
