Saw that you are one of the few other People's Republic of New Jersey members. Have you checked out Mayor Lonegan's campaign for Governor?

Art,

Do you have a plan or suggestion to help rebuild the Republican party?

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.

Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.

With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.

With the Gov of IL in trouble trying to sale a senate seat, Democrates are on the ropes. Now is the time for Republican Grassroots to move as a party to share the Republican message.

Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.

Great article, Art. I have often wondererd WHY the GOP cannot attract a vibrant, relatively young leader who is fimly confident in his or her conservative idealogy to run a compelling campaign, garnering both financial and voter support.

If I had to name just ONE thing that is most often repeated in all of these forums, it is our lack of party identity. I agree. In my "day job" (theatre and music) one frequently hears (regarding a show) that it "doesn't know what it wants to be", usually the kiss of death.
If you try to please everyone you please no one. If you try to be everything you end up being nothing.

That, and we have to stop being the doormat liberals wipe their shoes on.
