RtP had paid off, the local grassroots revolution is beginning here in Harris County

I came unto this website in utter frustration after the presidential election. Now, I am glad I did!
We are on the verge of connecting with Harris County party bigwigs, and the Republican Party of Texas. They are interested in what we have to say. My contribution will be in uniting the Hispanic community with the Republican party which will add to the coaltion. Thanks to all of you who have have added to the foundation with your input, advice, networking, and behind the scenes moves. History will… Continue

Alberto Gonzalez is a symbol for the Republican Hispanic base

Believe me, when they go after Alberto Gonzalez they are going after the symbol of the hispanic Republican. This is one key reason why hispanics will not vote for Republicans, because they believe Gonzalez was crucified and sold out by his own party for backing up Bush. He was a symbol that was offered as a sacrificial lamb, because his parents were illegal immigrants, because many wanted Bush's head, and many Republicans turned their back on Alberto. NOW HIspanics see this and wonder why they s… Continue

Today is our first RtP grassroots meeting, here in Houston

Today is the first Rebuild the Party meeting here in Houston, Harris County, America's 3rd most populated county. I am excited and hopeful that this idea of Rebuild the Party will not only be effective online in cyberspace but also in real time on the ground, as we are about to prove today. I have worked as an intern at Houston's city hall, I have been involved in politics in college, and I have worked on a campaign for a House of Reps seat, but nothing comes close to the expectations I have rig… Continue

How does this happen?? Time to change the game

I wrote my precinct chair because I wanted to arrange some type of event to gain more exposure in my neighborhood. Maybe a barbecue or something or a meet and greet. This is what I got back

"Since this precinct is predominantly democratic and has been for many many years, I have never had a great push to make it otherwise.Local, state and federal elections have always went to the favor of the democrats at least in this precinct. I used to do block walks until my health would not let me anymore.… Continue

Local News article about Rebuild the Party here in houston

I love this site, I have already made many connections needed to help rebuild the party. STILL, much work needs to be done, including the convincing of our own party "elites." Here is our Party Chairman in America's 3rd most populated county of Harris here in Texas dropping the ball by just simply not KNOWING!

I guess rebuillding the party means winning the hearts and minds of our OWN leadership.

Hello Fellow Republican,

In 2005, Christine Todd Whitman, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under George W. Bush, published her book entitled: “It’s My Party Too: The Battle for the Heart of the GOP and the Future of America.

Among other things, Whitman states, “Moderates have an indispensable role to play — we must bring the Republican Party, and American politics generally, back toward the center. But that won’t happen easily. It is time for Republican moderates to assert forcefully and plainly that this is our Party too, that we not only have a place, but a voice — and not just a voice, but a vision — a vision that is true to the historic principles of our party and our nation.”

In January 2009, the Republican Party will become a party out of power.  Plaintalk from the Texas Hill Country - It's My Party Too! will be focused on the emerging battle for the “heart of the GOP and the future of America“.  It will do so by chronicling breaking news feeds and political commentary from local, state and national news sources.

Plaintalk can be reached by email: mcgrody@gmail.com or by phone: 830-446-6150

If the Titans face the Steelers again, I certainly hope you're right.

It's hard to root against Farve, even when he's on the opposing team.

Wow, they really did a good job today. I have a feeling we may see the Steelers again - I hope they can do it twice.

It won't be all up to Collins, imho. Having Haynesworth & VanDenbosch out on defense worries me.

Good win last Sunday for the Texans. It seemed like they wouldn't be denied - I'm not sure why Fisher decided against the 49 yard field goal?

I really like VY, he's a great talent. I guess it would have been different if he'd gone to Houston.
