Couldn't agree with you more. People in my area are actually organizing to get behind candidates running for office in 2010 without even consulting the party. Some old timers believe you have to have the blessing of the party, but considering they...

What should they do to atone? Pay back the money, and get out of politics until they know what a Republican is, and if they don't, go join the other side!

So, if DeDe is middle of the road, then she should be supporting her more conservative GOP candidate, right? But, she isn't she is campaigning for the Dem. This must mean that "middle of the road" only veers left never right, right?

Working at a grass roots level, we all need ideas and plans which work to bring money, donations, fundraising ideas, getting commitments for continued funding, and also what doesn't work. I am hoping to gather ideas from everywhere!

Beware of Surveys!

There is a current market research org, names GFK, Inc. doing a survey which begins with your use of electronic gadgetry like cell phones, hi-def, cable, etc. It then moves to social/political issues and the first question was: In the past 30 days, have you participated or attended a rally, political speech or event or political/social protest? Having done market research myself and having both been a caller and a survey author, I became very suspicious right here and asked who the client was. O… Continue

Another Solution to Health Care!

If your car isn’t running well, you take it to an auto mechanic, not a LAWYER.
If you have an engineering problem, you take it to an engineer, not a LAWYER.
If you have a problem with grammar, you take it to an English teacher, not a LAWYER.
If we have problems with a Health Care system, why aren’t we taking it to Health Care professionals instead of LAWYERS aka Congress?

Jim Cramer is clobbering Obama as we speak!

On Jim's show this eve. going in the NW right now, Jim, who gave money to Obama's campaign, is clobbering Obama for the 25% fall of the "people's" investments/retirement savings - you know, "Main Street!"

Mr. Gibbs will probably have more words of unwisdom tomorrow about how he doesn't know what Mr. Cramer is referring to ie. the DOW, the S&P, the Nasdaq, etc. which Jim just spelled out for the obviously dense Mr. Gibbs and maybe the dense Mr. Obama!

You go, Jim!

April 15th is the same day that the organization, “Restore the Republic”, (RTR) will be holding a nation-wide effort to get out information on the IRS and the Federal Reserve. Hi Catherine,

Just read your comment on poor, white mothers... You are right.

They destroyed Indians... I am one of them. Indian Children were taken off the reservation for centuries to destory the "Indian way of Life" Then in the '60s they tried to help poor black mothers and its even worse now.

Our federal government destroyed the Indian reservation system... 2.4 million left.

Our federal government subsidized the destruction of the black family. 40 Percent of all black males between 16 and 30 are in jail. Child support, drugs, whatever. They are in jail. And now the government is "daddy" to a large portion of black America.

And now. It is time for the government to target white people. Particularly the poor white singe mothers... They are the government's next target...

It is a said country we live in... thanks for responding... at least you care..

Welcome Catherine.

I've enjoyed reading your posts in the Goodbye President Bush area. Let's just say you are very patient. I'm glad to have more solid thinkers on RtP.

Hello Fellow Republican,

In 2005, Christine Todd Whitman, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under George W. Bush, published her book entitled: “It’s My Party Too: The Battle for the Heart of the GOP and the Future of America.

Among other things, Whitman states, “Moderates have an indispensable role to play — we must bring the Republican Party, and American politics generally, back toward the center. But that won’t happen easily. It is time for Republican moderates to assert forcefully and plainly that this is our Party too, that we not only have a place, but a voice — and not just a voice, but a vision — a vision that is true to the historic principles of our party and our nation.”

In January 2009, the Republican Party will become a party out of power.  Plaintalk from the Texas Hill Country - It's My Party Too! will be focused on the emerging battle for the “heart of the GOP and the future of America“.  It will do so by chronicling breaking news feeds and political commentary from local, state and national news sources.

Plaintalk can be reached by email: mcgrody@gmail.com or by phone: 830-446-6150

Catherine,

I agree. I have been using this site to get lots of ideas as my county attempts to become more effective and do all the things the RTP has outlines; however, it is difficult since one person posts on a topic and instead of keeping all the relevant ideas and thoughts on that post, another person starts the same (or very similar) topic under a new thread. It is almost impossible to find all the related posts and people's comments which often include some really good ideas and information.

Maybe the forums and blogs should be categorized so at least like posts are kept together without so much duplication.

There does need to be a giant sorter to sort various post into its topic area. However, in an open format such as this there is a great possibility that there will be duplication of original thought among the member; not necessarily by design.
Basically, most of us being of a conservative bend, use the same overlapping resources. In order to discern the sincerity of a poster, I use the "smell" or "duck" test.
There are numerous members who have failed both test.

Catherine,

Do you have a plan or suggestion to help rebuild the Republican party?

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.

Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.

With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.

With the Gov of IL in trouble trying to sale a senate seat, Democrates are on the ropes. Now is the time for Republican Grassroots to move as a party to share the Republican message.

Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.

Hi, I’m Katie, I’m new to Rebuild the Party, but I am so excited about Sarah Palin, and really just ready to help further the conservative agenda! I have been really active in Team Sarah, and just found this site! I’m looking for ways to get involved. Every day I mark it down on my Sarah Palin Calendar, so that at the end of the year I know I did everything I could possibly do. I just think having a calendar with a cause reminds you ever day to do something proactive!
