CREEativeRight - Purposely Different

Time to Step Up

I've been a political voyeur for a long time. Beyond voting scanning the headlines along with some of the more conservative sites and blogs occasionally leaving a comment were the extent of my involvement in the process.

However this last election cycle got my attention. I own a business that provides social media consulting and training and I was appalled at how soundly the left has dominated online social networking. I opened a new Twitter account for my political ramblings @CREEativeRight and am getting more involved here.

I believe ideas and reason should trump emotion. I believe conservative solutions are far better long term than those being advocated on the left. We just need to communicate those ideas more effectively.

Play time is over. Now is the time to step up.

Chris we are beginning to get the Georgia Rebuild The Party off the ground. We have had one local meeting and will have another this week. I realize that your being in Savannah you will not be able to attend these face to face meetings and we will be having online meetings soon.

Your knowledge about the media side of Internet will be most helpful to our success in Georgia. I would suggest that you contact Peter Sinard direct. He also is pretty IT savvy but I am sure can use some help.

For one thing, several of us do not find the Rebuild The Party site all that user friendly. We can use some help in learning about navigating around the site.

If you will check Georgia Rebuild The Party wall postings you will see the beginnings of our start. I visited my County meetings Saturday and posted my view of the meeting. Others are planning on attending their county meetings in February I hope you will attend also in your area.

To really activate the Republican Party we need activist in every precinct. That is where the process starts. February will be the county meetings. Delegates and Alternate Delegates will be chosen along with the precinct leaders. Your precinct may or may not have either leaders or delegates. Step up and volunteer and get others to do the same. The final convention is in Savannah in May. That is where we will choose our State Chairman, State National Chairwoman, and State Chairman - our three delegates.

As you may know, January 28 -31 is the National Convention. The National Chair will be chosen. You should participate if you have not. I am hopeful that the convention will pass the Resolution which will be voted on. In my opinion, that will go a long way to bring back many who abandoned the Party for whatever reason.

We look for your frequent participation, Chris.

Hello Fellow Republican,

In 2005, Christine Todd Whitman, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under George W. Bush, published her book entitled: “It’s My Party Too: The Battle for the Heart of the GOP and the Future of America.

Among other things, Whitman states, “Moderates have an indispensable role to play — we must bring the Republican Party, and American politics generally, back toward the center. But that won’t happen easily. It is time for Republican moderates to assert forcefully and plainly that this is our Party too, that we not only have a place, but a voice — and not just a voice, but a vision — a vision that is true to the historic principles of our party and our nation.”

In January 2009, the Republican Party will become a party out of power.  Plaintalk from the Texas Hill Country - It's My Party Too! will be focused on the emerging battle for the “heart of the GOP and the future of America“.  It will do so by chronicling breaking news feeds and political commentary from local, state and national news sources.

Plaintalk can be reached by email: mcgrody@gmail.com or by phone: 830-446-6150

Aww, Chris, I'm not offended at all. Here, more to the point of our discussion, watch this little video short, you'll like it.

http://patriotroom.com/fred-thompson-at-his-snarkiest-best/

Actually, I believe I come off a little short and arrogant, because on these sites, there are two things that tend to get under my skin, especially when I'm doing my normal work-of-the-day, and trying to participate in these forum threads at the same time. You can probably relate:

1) I come across the obvious DNC shills trolling around on our forum where they don't belong. I don't know if you are aware of it, but over on the www.Pickens Plan... forums, where I and a lot of the conservatives here first met, I and two of that websites' administrators caught and tracked three DNC shills proven to be hired at a Orange County, California Advertising and Marketing firm, part-owned and directly contracted by Obama's main advisor Axelrod.

Yep, we caught wind of a Fox News story about how Axelrod was linked to the Orange County, CA firm which was creating and spreading all sorts of false grass-roots stories about Sarah Palin and her husband, all over the most popular websites and blogospheres of influence. I heard the stories in specific details on Fox News and remembered reading the exact same stories posted by always the same three people on the Pickens Plan site, and convinced the Pickens Plan site administrators to do a server IP Trace on all of their individual posts back to the source server. I told them how they could do this for free, but they were already ahead of me. This was during the presidential election period.

Sure enough, all 3 posters from allegedly different cities in California, came from the same Server IP address in Orange County, CA,, later traced by subscriber information to be housed inside Axelrod's Ad & Marketing company building. We basically found extra proof that Obama's campaign had paid-for-blogging shills lying all over the internet during the election. Perhaps you read some of that crap like, "Ted Palin led a movement for Alaska to secede from the Union...?" or "Sarah Palin mis-appropriated state funds to build her $2,000,000.00 house?" or even "Sarah Palin intentionally drafted legislation allowing for the extinction of endangered wolves in Alaska by plane?" All of which are completely false and never happended. #1 was totally imaginary, #2 is a total lie and her house was built for only $200,000 originally before small additions over the years, about 1/9th the worth the story even claimed and the third one refers to a legislative act she signed allowing limited wolf hunting by plane in one secured region of Alaska where the over-populated wolves were threatening other endangered species on their own fenced-in preserve.

That sort of nonsense. So you can see, I have a special hate-hunt-down-&-kill attitude for the lying DNC shills trespassing in on our Conservative Forums.

The other thing that gets me a bit peeved there, is some of the, shall we use the term 'silliness' of our less open-minded participants when blindly indoctrinated by 1 or two concepts, and they can't even see the party rebuilding requirements beyond their own holy grails. A good example are a few of the Ron Paul followers, the only ones giving me any flack at all. As you may have read, I actually like and respect Ron Paul a lot, but I do feel he went off the deep end on several subjects and went far more libertarian than conservative on key issues. And, more to the theme of your nice email here, he did not communicate well when he could have been a far more viable element in our party.

To this, and I've expressed it nicely several times to them, 3 of the 5 devout Ron Paul promoters here go ballistic, not even considering that their man was not perfect, and it was the entire GOP who screwed Paul over, which I do not believe. The other 2 Ron Paul enthusiasts put up some good points, and we have a great discourse.

I imagine I 'sound' a bit arrogant, because with all we have to do with re-building the party, and I am an issued card carrying Republican, I find an impatient distaste in my mouth for the more radical elements here not willing to compromise, or even look at other points of view in working out the inclusionary compromises we'll need when making our hard-right party adjustments (a term that can have a widely varied connotation set). If all they are going to do is bitch about having their man screwed over, as they perceive, all they'll do is waste our time.

I think I made one comment on the marketing thread that could have sounded arrogant, because a lot of people jumping in there do not even understand what true marketing is or what the results of good marketing, supporting or opposing can do in politics. I guess I had not much patience in that area too. If they don't understand it, ask questions or explore, don't come in saying a new marketing approach is not what we need. I know you understand this well.

I'm not really bothered by it at all Chris, for every 2-3 flack-shots I take, I seem to get 10 "thank you's" either on posts, comments or emails, so its pretty satisfying all around. IF you only saw the blog battles I had on the Pickens Plan. I think I've helped bring about 50 folks over here, that were on there, and I'm still finding more conservatives very unhappy on the Pickens Plan site. I'm also telling the 300 or so members on "Conservative Talk" to come over to Rebuild the Party too, since there is truly more valuable action going on here.

Let's get that group together, add a list to the original post of the topic, so we can begin trading ideas and rough video drafts as we get started.

Nice talking to you!

Terry

Chris,

Do you have a plan or suggestion to help rebuild the Republican party?

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.

Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.

With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.

With the Gov of IL in trouble trying to sale a senate seat, Democrates are on the ropes. Now is the time for Republican Grassroots to move as a party to share the Republican message.

Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.

Hi, I’m Katie, I’m new to Rebuild the Party, but I am so excited about Sarah Palin, and really just ready to help further the conservative agenda! I have been really active in Team Sarah, and just found this site! I’m looking for ways to get involved. Every day I mark it down on my Sarah Palin Calendar, so that at the end of the year I know I did everything I could possibly do. I just think having a calendar with a cause reminds you ever day to do something proactive!
