No one in their right mind will legalize marijuana, it is a dead issue and a non-common sense issue. Conservatives would be hypocritical if they legalized it and then claimed to be for families and low crime. NO evdence has come to support anythin...

Time to move on to new topics but at least its being talked about. By the way, just because I'd like to see something legal does not mean I advocate it. As an example I HATE reality shows....but I don't think goverment has the right to ban them. T...

Rev, the truth of the matter is that drugs are a problem, and they will forever remain. There has never been a drug free society and there never will be. These facts are undeniable. What we are to do is to find the most feasible solution because t...

You are right, Fred, and thanks for the post. I've tried to bring up this issue of ending the socialistic and pro-government drug prohibition policy several times before, but its tough to make your case because people constantly bring up concerns ...

Legalize murder? Not at all what I said. We already have some legalized drugs in USA namely alcholic beverages and tabacco. I don't advocate allowing people who abuse alcohol to drive drunk. As I said in the title Liberty AND Responsibility. As fo...

Liberty & responsibilty...Does that extend to drug law reform?

I'd like to propose that the Republican Party take a serious look at the drug laws of this country and eliminate any that do not work and that do not support the basic policy of the party to extend liberty and responsibility. I believe that some "drugs' such as marijuana, mushrooms, some types of ecstasy should be legalized, taxed and regulated.

This will reduce drug violence, increase tax revenue, reduce accidental overdoses and put our party in alignment with personal freedom.
