Obama's comment on leno was without a doubt...Un-presidential, and it shined a bright-light on a true character flaw, but this one, like many of his gaffs will go unchecked by the masses because he has an enormous number of pied piper cronies marchi…

Personally, I found it weird that he was going onto the show. Then, I heard that comment and found it to be so ridiculous. I have a sister who has special needs and has been part of Special Olympics. As always, if it had been George Bush, the outcry…

Do not give Obama a "pass" on this comment!!!!

Where is the public outcry? We have a President who not only singles out individual American citizens to bad mouth (Rush, et al) or who finds it OK for the government to decide how much money any individual can make (AIG bonus debacle) but now this?!

I have had enough. My nephew has Down Syndrome and is a proud participant in the Special Olympics and I WILL NOT LET THIS COMMENT DIE! THIS "PRESIDENT" MUST GO!

Obama on Leno (a joke in and of itself):
Leno asked the president whether the White Ho… Continue

As seen on TV…..

Yep, The Office of the President of the United States has been diminished to a late night entertainment talk show. No longer is being the leader of the Free World the most respected, most revered job… it has been lowered to snippets, sound bites, teleprompters and now Late Night Entertainment. Laughable.

“President” (*wink, wink, nod, nod*) Obama’s upcoming busy schedule:

Thursday: Late Night with Jay Leno: Hear “President” Obama chitchat about swing sets, dogs, the rough life of being “Presid… Continue

Which Obama is he today?! The Grim Reaper or Mr. Sunshine?

Talk about a flip-flopping, poll watching, know-nothing, amateur:

Here is Obama just weeks ago:
"....today's economy is the worst since the Great Depression. Without this Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the economy will fall back into that abyss and may never recover...."

Obama's comments as the stock market was tanking:
"You know, the stock market is sort of like a tracking poll in politics," "It bobs up and down day to day, and if you spend all your time worrying about that, then you're proba… Continue

Only 50 days into the cesspool… Letter to Obama from a guy getting angry.

Obama: “"We've inherited a budgeting process as irresponsible as it is unsustainable. For years, as Wall Street used accounting tricks to conceal costs and avoid responsibility, Washington did, too,".

Dear Mr. President:

I am sick and tired of you playing the blame game. I am sick and tired of the idiotic distractions your juvenile administration is playing to keep people from watching you waste away $3.5 trillion dollars. I am sick and tired of your constant whining about how bad things were… Continue

Be Afraid. Be VERY Afraid.

Again, I've tried to find something funny about what is happening in our Great Land right now but there is nothing funny. In fact, I was reminded of the following quote that everyone should read:

"Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more and more of expensive goods, houses and mechanical products, pushing them to take more and more expensive credits, until their debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to the bankruptcy of banks, which will have to be nationalize… Continue

Mark,

Welcome to RtP.

Do you have a plan or suggestion to help rebuild the Republican party?

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.

Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.

With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.

Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.

"Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party?"
I would prefer the latter but, expect the former. Look around, I don't know why some of these people are here.
Moving to the "center" is moving to the "left".

met•tle (met′'l)
noun
quality of character or temperament; esp., high quality of character; spirit; courage; ardor

Apparently there are rumblings that Russia is going to "test the mettle" of the Obama Administration regarding the US missile defense system. "Test the mettle of the Obama Administration".... Think about what that means and who is saying this. Think very hard about this. This is Russia. You know, the country that the 40th President of the United States brought to its knees and ended the decades long cold war. You might recall that President when he aptly described the then Soviet Union as an "evil empire" and warned them that the US was never going to "blink" in the stare-down we were having with them. To the contrary, we were going to re-build our armed forces, update defensive weapons and develop technology that would render their huge nuclear stockpiles useless. That President, Ronald Reagan, was told that he was going to throw the US in a nuclear war with The Soviet Union and mankind would be wiped from the face of the earth. Reagan doubted that and proceeded with his agenda creating "Star Wars" (or SDI - Strategic Defense Initiative) which ultimately brought the Soviets to the table to begin to dismantle an arsenal that could have blown the world up 10 times over. The fingers that were poised over "the button" were now poised over paper writing reforms and an ushering in an era of perestroika and glasnost reforms.

So why is there this talk of Obama's "mettle being tested"? Because if you look up at the definition of "mettle", Obama has shown none of what the definition of mettle is. Ever. Just as many tried to point out during the primary and during the general elections, Obama has no experience. No proof of his mettle. Sure, "community organizing" sounds good and obviously he is good at that since he won the election by motivating record numbers of volunteers to campaign for him. But now that the dust and celebrity of his campaign is over and we are nearing his coronation....oh, excuse me... his inauguration, we are starting to see what the job of President is really all about. And what kind of person is needed to be in the job.

Obama might need to go back and review the history between the US and Russia. He might want to think about the fact that there are many in that region of the world that, for generations, have been eyeing an opportunity to remove the United States from its position of defending freedom and promoting self-governance and liberty around the world. In their view, totalitarianism and domination are the rule.

So why would Russia find it opportune to now want to "test the mettle" of Obama? Why didn't they want to test the mettle of George Bush or Bill Clinton or GW Bush? Why - because their mettle was never in question. Even though Clinton dismantled our intelligence community and weakened the military, Russia didn't think to test his mettle. Obama is going to be tested by Russia (and the rest of the world that doesn't like us) not only because he has never, ever been tested on anything but because of his own words - specifically regarding the US Defensive (note: DEFENSIVE) weapons - and I quote Obama: "I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending.
I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems.
I will not weaponize space.
I will slow our development of future combat systems.
And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.
Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material; and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert, and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals.

And with that, here is what we get. We get to see a new era of the cold war with Russia. Only this time, I’m afraid the US will blink……. Thanks, Obama. Great “change”.
