Anuzis Leads in the Brain Dead Luddite Twitter Index Among RNC Candidates

I have started tracking the number of Twitter followers each of four major candidates currently have. I am using this as a proxy for their usage of the social media and internet tools necessary to rebuilding the party over the next four years.

The higher the number of followers, the lower the candidate's Brain Dead Luddite score. That's a good thing, because we don't need any more Brain Dead Luddites running the party.

As of November 27, here's how it looks:

Tennessee's Chip Saltsman Bids For RNC Chair

Tennessean Chip Saltsman, most recently the manager of Mike Huckabee's remarkably successful "up from nowhere" 2008 Presidential campaign, has thrown his hat in the ring as a candidate for the Republican National Committee Chairmanship position.

At forty, Saltsman is the youngest of the announced candidates and arguably has the most electoral success in his background. He helped the ignoble Don Sundquist win the Governorship in Tennessee back in 1994, and has been involved in several successful… Continue

Nice to Friend you! @somethingfishie here and working hard in Houston. Houston's 2nd Rebuild meeting is tomorrow, 1/14 at 7 p.m.! We're gaining momentum and will be reporting on what we're doing and how we're moving people and things and partnerships into place! We'll also be mining the attendees for their expertise to nail down what assets we bring to the process, and planning for our next steps.

It's exciting to be able to organize so quickly and see others energized even after all the election work is over. Will report back Wednesday!

Hello Fellow Republican,

In January 2009, the Republican Party will be a party out of power. To facilitate dialogue regarding the re-emergence of the Party, I have started a blog called
Plaintalk from the Texas Hill Country - It's My Party Too!

Plaintalk will be focused on the emerging battle for the “heart
of the GOP and the future of America
“.  It will do so by chronicling breaking news feeds and political commentary from local, state and national news sources.

The blog will be updated on a daily basis.  Readers can also sign up for a free online daily newsletter.  I encourage you to visit my blog and I hope that you find it informative. Your comments and feedback are welcome!

Plaintalk can be reached by email: mcgrody@gmail.com or by phone: 830-446-6150

Michael,

Do you have a plan or suggestion to help rebuild the Republican party?

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.

Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.

With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.

With the Gov of IL in trouble trying to sale a senate seat, Democrates are on the ropes. Now is the time for Republican Grassroots to move as a party to share the Republican message.

Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.

Stephen
