Some citizens are so upset with congress that they want to fire the entire lot! But this is just a rouse to divide us like thinking people.

I was listening to Gun Talk the other morning while also watching the sun rise and enjoying the sounds of nature all around me and the host talked on the very subject of firing congress, the whole lot, and he said and I agree, don't do that because the ones that really are doing harm will remain from the other districts who are not so motivated as our selves.

In order to defeat this, all like thinking citizens have to unify under the banner of *reedom and there are a few organizations which supply the needed leadership. NRA, Farm Bureau , and Chamber of Commerce. United we stand, divided we fall.

Farm Bureau advocates for the citizen farmers. We are all farmers, we reap what we sow. They are categorically opposed to the estate tax and other initiatives dear to your heart. Your membership will further Farm Bureau's agendas. For Farm Bureau's policy positions see here http://www.fb.org/index.php?fuseaction=issues.backgrounders

Farm Bureau offers low priced excellent home, car, and multifamily insurance. They give a 10% discount if you drive an E85 vehicle. Contact your local Farm Bureau office. Get link to state FB from here. http://www.fb.org/index.php?fuseaction=newsroom.statefbs then get link to local FB office and agents.

The Chamber of Commerce is all about small business. You don't have to be a small business owner to join nor a rocket scientists to understand the role that this organization plays in the economy of our communities. Support the Chambers political initiatives which you will find have a lot of commonality with your own. . Your membership will further these agendas. See you local Chamber of Commerce get link from here http://www.uschamber.com/chambers/directory/default.htm?d=false

Buy a gun, learn to use it and join the NRA and local gun club and vote for the candidates which they endorse. This is the only organization with the clout having millions of members nation wide and they don't pussy foot around when it comes to our rights under the constitution and our independence. And you need to make sure your sons and daughters and there children do the same. Obama's citizen militia is being formed as he said it would be and they are wearing red shirts. ACORN received $3B in last stimulus Americorp funding has quadrupled. ACORN to be responsible for 2010 census ( now moved to the Whitehouse), which leads to voting redistricting and fraud.

To Join NRA on the NRA web Site the cost is $35 per year There is a Link on the Gun Talk web site that offers $10 discount http://www.guntalk.com/site3.php. It is on left side beneath the navigation buttons. Your membership will further NRA's agendas.

Local stations broadcasting Gun Talk can be found here.http://www.guntalk.com/site39.php

Make your position known to the powers that be, TODAY. Write your federal, state, and local officials at addresses get link from here http://www.congress.org/congressorg/directory/congdir.tt

Make your position known on
Government health care!

Your community, local government, and state legislature will be your biggest allies in the paradigm change that is coming.

Well I told you so! Some told me to remove them from the mail list in 2008 because they thought that this was all just politics as usual. A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------
China established gun control in 1935. >From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated
------------------------------
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. >From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
---- ------------- -------------
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------------
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
------------------------------
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
------------------------------
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

1. Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.
2. Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
3. Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
4. In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
5. While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
6. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns.

The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it. You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

If you value your *reedom, please spread this message to all of your friends.

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN! SWITZERLAND 'S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE. SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

IT'S A NO BRAINER! DON'T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.

We all should be firm believer of the 2nd Amendment, The *reedom to hold and bear arms! Please forward.

With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.

Hello Mindy,

In 2005, Christine Todd Whitman, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under George W. Bush, published her book entitled: “It’s My Party Too: The Battle for the Heart of the GOP and the Future of America.

Among other things, Whitman states, “Moderates have an indispensable role to play — we must bring the Republican Party, and American politics generally, back toward the center. But that won’t happen easily. It is time for Republican moderates to assert forcefully and plainly that this is our Party too, that we not only have a place, but a voice — and not just a voice, but a vision — a vision that is true to the historic principles of our party and our nation.”

In January 2009, the Republican Party will become a party out of power.  Plaintalk from the Texas Hill Country - It's My Party Too! will be focused on the emerging battle for the “heart of the GOP and the future of America“.  It will do so by chronicling breaking news feeds and political commentary from local, state and national news sources.

Plaintalk can be reached by email: mcgrody@gmail.com or by phone: 830-446-6150

Morning and Happy New Year everyone! Mindy, I'm watching you on Cspan and agree, the party has lost its way and needs to go back to its roots. And by that I mean we need to respect the Constitution again, unlike King Dubya, who thinks its just a gd piece of paper. We must undo the damage he has done over 8 years making bad *gut* decisions. We need to facilitate repealing many of the unConstitutional bills that were passed such as the illegal spying of the FISA act and others. Even Obama went back on his word and said he *compromised* by voting for FISA 2. As for Reagan, yes, he did a lot of great things, but we must remember and study our history, because he wasn't perfect, ie: trickle down economics, and the Iran Contra scandal that was illegal. He put himself above the law of the land and Congress, so lets not idolize him with a blanket of praise. We must understand how we got into this economic mess and make sure it isnt repeated. Though we all want smaller government, there needs to be watchdog regulation to make sure Wall Street cant do this derivative scheme again. It was a game of hot potato and the taxpayer got stuck with holding the it. So let's roll up our sleeves and get some work done. I am tired of being forced to be loyal to the party and support a war that is unjust. Yes, I support the troops, but because I do, I want them back home and not dying for no good reason. Ron Paul was a beacon of truth during the campaign and the good Republicans need to listen to his wise words. Ironic how he has become the go-to guy by the major media stations when they have questions on the economy. He is one of the few Congressmen intelligent enough to challenge Ben Benanke on how the Fed is contributing to this mess. Good Luck to all of you this year! We are Americans and We The People shall prevail. We must demand transparency, starting with our bailout money, and we must demand accountability of our Representatives. Remind them that they serve at our pleasure and we can vote them out. No more welfare for Wall Street banksters and other companies that made bad business decisions. We should be emailing and calling our Congressmen weekly. Yes, we get form letters, but it will be noticed. Every bit helps. Let them know we are watching them and are informed constituents, not sheep.

Good comments Mindy regarding NPR. I agree we need to get our "personal responsibly" message into those listening segments. Personal resonsibility is one thing that conservatives clearly stand for that many middle of the road liberals share with us. It is an important link.

But somehow we need to get our hands around or access more than NPR -- we fair access to more "mainstream" media outlets. Maybe we have to find a way to get control of one of them?

This election cycle was unique and we were capsized in a perfect storm (unpolular incumbent, the econ collapse, and a very ineffective & conflicted candidate-- I mean McCain not Palin) and those elements combined with a "black out" (no pun) of any damaging news about the outside was too much to overcome. Just Fox News is not enough I am afraid.

Hi, I’m Katie, I’m new to Rebuild the Party, but I am so excited about Sarah Palin, and really just ready to help further the conservative agenda! I have been really active in Team Sarah, and just found this site! I’m looking for ways to get involved. Every day I mark it down on my Sarah Palin Calendar, so that at the end of the year I know I did everything I could possibly do. I just think having a calendar with a cause reminds you ever day to do something proactive!

Mindy,

Just wanted to say thanks for your efforts to get the GOP to look at itself, ask the right questions and ensure it is on the right track. The party is not the boss, nor is the candidate, it is the voter and party faithful that should be leading the way.

Is there a candidate for 2012 that can energize the party? Palin, Jindal or is there someone else, maybe a new Newt.....

Anyway thanks for putting together this site for those of us who are not computer savy.

Mindy,
Congrats on getting this started. We the people need to begin the process to take back our Great Nation from the direction it is heading and this site is a D_ _ N Good Start. Keep the ball rolling and "Git "er Done". The GOP needs to rebuild from the ground up for the 21st century.
I never wanted to become politically active but am now doing so. Thanks for helping me out.

Winning Campaigns: 2010 and Beyond

On Friday, the Republican National Committee held a tech summit, where Party leaders commended Rebuild the Party and credited our group with pushing a more open grassroots structure, marketplace of ideas, and increased focus on new media and technology. Kudos folks.

After that meeting, as a representative of Rebuild the Party, I was tasked by the RNC to lead a brainstorm of the ways the RNC should be updating and improving their efforts to assist and help win campaigns. The official group for t… Continue

Strength in Numbers

Rebuild the Party started with a handful of Republican activists with a vision, and today, we're making a real, measurable impact on the future of the Party.

The initial goal of Rebuild the Party was to outline guidelines for a refresh of the Republican National Committee, and to encourage each candidate for RNC Chairman to endorse the plan. Within days of its launch, hundreds, then thousands, of Americans signed up to endorse the plan and join the effort to rebuild our party.

One Small Step for the Right

In response to some critics regarding Rebuild the Party's "short-sightedness," I'm re-posting this original post for The Next Right here.

When a few of us channeled our efforts to RebuildtheParty.com, we intended to jumpstart the conversation about what the Party must do from a tactical standpoint to rebuild. We did not intend to provide an all-encompassing manifesto that will guarantee a renewed Republican majority.
