About Me

I am a music teacher from Connecticut. I have a been a conservative my entire life and Republican from when I first could register at age 17. I am not an evangelical Christian and my religious faith in no way plays a part in my political views. I believe that the strongest theme of the Conservative ideology is personal responsibility and a minimal role of government in the lives of the citizens. I believe that people are genuinely good in this country and that we assist each other in time of need. This belief is supported by the generous contributions Americans make every year to local and national charities and the overwhelming support of the people in times of need such as 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. I do not believe the government needs to tell us how to be good nor should the government attempt to improve society through constant handouts.

Finding a Middle Ground - Education and NCLB

The goal of vigorous political debate is to ultimately arrive an agreement that addresses the most serious concerns of the groups involved while still finding a large enough platform to build effective policy upon. I want to explore in a series of posts where we currently stand on a number of issues. As a teacher I felt my first discussion should be education.

The largest policy change in education of the past eight years has been the creation of No Child Left Behind (NCLB). Allow me to shock a… Continue

Are you on Facebook and LinkedIn?

I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Interesting that on your profile page there is no "Send message" button, but on other people's pages, there is one. That may be the same on my page as well.

The projects that we're formulating promote pro-conservative causes that are not aligned directly with the RNC.

Welcome to RtP.

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.

Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.

With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.

Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.
