Can some one explain what an exploratory committee is? does that mean they are going to be candidates or just thinking about it but want more encouragement first or they are searching to find a good candidate?

seattle conservative, this site seems to be dying as very few new posts are submitted, and little activity from any group. There is a Washington site on America c2c.com which is more active.

Found your info from your great work exposing Cantwell, Murray and Baird's deception (underwritten by MyBO et al.). I spent some time this evening surfing conservative websites and adding to my favorites.
I'm a registered nurse with a deep interest in the current health care debate. However, after nearly 40 years in nursing, I find it interesting that no one seems to recognize the dots connecting rising costs and staffing mandates being issued by the American Nurses Association and the nursing unions.
Many years ago we had efficient and cost-effective staffing that disappeared under the rule of All-RN staff. Now the ANA is pushing Magnet Hospitals which will really just make it worse. People should know that they're discussing not just all-RN staffs but also making a masters the entry level education for an RN.
Any ideas of where to start to stop the madness in my profession?

Some citizens are so upset with congress that they want to fire the entire lot! But this is just a rouse to divide us like thinking people.
I was listening to Gun Talk the other morning while also watching the sun rise and enjoying the sounds of nature all around me and the host talked on the very subject of firing congress, the whole lot, and he said and I agree, don't do that because the ones that really are doing harm will remain from the other districts who are not so motivated as our selves.
In order to defeat this, all like thinking citizens have to unify under the banner of *reedom and there are a few organizations which supply the needed leadership. NRA, Farm Bureau , and Chamber of Commerce. United we stand, divided we fall.
Farm Bureau advocates for the citizen farmers. We are all farmers, we reap what we sow. They are categorically opposed to the estate tax and other initiatives dear to your heart. Buy a gun, learn to use it and join the NRA and local gun club and vote for the candidates which they endorse. A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:
1. Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.
2. Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
3. Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
4. In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
5. While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
6. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns.
The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it. You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

I thought I was "moderate" till I moved to the Portland area but I am totally a conservative and always have been. I'm tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.
