Not saying she's not going to run or shouldn't run - however, Carmelo, she could & would do that, taking the slings & arrows, if she really believes in our country. Regardless of future office aspirations, she is doing a great service for all of u...

Larry Sarah Palin is sending all the right signals of a prtesidential run in 2012: a PAC, a book tour right before the midterm elections, a staunch conservative approach: pro life, small government, free enterprise, strong military and strong for...

agree w/Robin - not the man but the principles.. here's my thinking on Sarah Palin's role and would be interested in feedback. I think she's going to be 'a' (not 'the only') major player in pulling all of the 'constitutional principles' movements ...

Whitehorse (Robin Ray) Well said!!!

There may be a few who "worship" Reagan. The VAST majority, however, understand that it's the principles & values of Reagan that are paramount.

Joe I don't mention Reagan anywhere in my article. So while I am a Reagan conservative, I am not sure where you are coming from with your comment. Explain a little further please.

While I admire some of Reagans accomplishments, and would consider him the best president we have had in along whilke I think the GOP needs to get off this Reagan worship bend.

Carmelo You may be right. Republicans must have a candidate that gets people fired up and they have to have true conservative values. I am waiting to see what happens down the road, but for now, she is the best chance out there.

Sarah Palin can win. She has demostrated that for 16 years in public office. Yes, she can lose too. She lost the liutenant Governor campaign for her state but came back winning the big prize some years later. What Sarah Palin has that no other pos...

Good post Paul. Not only for president, but our candidates need to get back to the center-right conservatism of the majority of this country.

November 20
We do. However, we need to remember we won't get them all & not allow the MSM to cloud our view. Heck, this country won independence with the population split into thirds. We need to support those who are doing the right thing & spread that message.

Yes, there are examples of people being heros, standing tall, doing the right thing. I just feel we need a societal movement to have a strong nation for the long term.

Sarah Palin: Should We Make Rogue Vogue?

Sarah Palin is back in the public spot light with her new bestselling book, Going Rogue. At the moment, on just about every television channel, one can view the very photogenic Palin being quizzed about her new book and her plans for the future. Of course, the big question that comes up at some point in every conversation is - will she run for the top spot in the next presidential election? While trying to pick the person that will be the Republican Presidential Candidate in 2012 is a pre-mature… Continue

Where’s Your Grit?

America, where is your character, your pluck, your grit? If that question seems overly harsh and needlessly aggressive, then you are staring directly at the problem. This nation sits at the precipice of a fundamental, irreversible transformation that will make all too visible a new country that is incontrovertibly “one nation under a spineless, politically correct, brow-beaten, emasculated bunch of sheep.” Is that too harsh? If you believe my words are too offensive, that I should tone it down,… Continue

Review: 2009 documentary “What’s the Matter with Kansas?” Buckle up

Sometimes being right is personally rewarding, sometimes it’s of financial benefit, and sometimes, unfortunately, it’s just downright painful. I recently wrote an article, “What’s Still The Matter With Thomas Frank?” about the upcoming (at the time) documentary by filmmakers Laura Cohen and Joe Winston, inspired by Thomas Frank’s 2004 bestselling book, “What’s the Matter with Kansas?” The article I wrote caused a minor brouhaha with the filmmakers, who posted a commentary rebuttal and a photo of… Continue

Observing the Blitzkrieg: The Barack Obama Way

In the midst of the fight over whether or not the United States should, or should not, turn our medical system into a socialistic bread line, or whether the administration should heed the request for additional troops in Afghanistan, Barack Obama feels compelled to add to his strategic plate, the gay question. One could say that Obama’s recent move to change the military’s standing “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy for homosexuals serving in the armed forces has been sparked by the recent unrest of… Continue

A Return To The Planet Of The Apes

“It’s a mad house, a mad house!” These were the words shouted from the lips of Charlton Heston in the 1968 movie release, Planet of the Apes. Heston, who played the character of astronaut George Taylor, found himself in a future Earth where apes ruled the land and humans, and their past culture, were considered evil taboo. Ah, science fiction, such a wondrous escape from reality, right? What happens when fiction and reality begin to overlap? What happens when they become one and the same?

Befor… Continue

Last year I wrote an article bringing up this issue. I was doing voter registration at a street fair and kept hearing statements such as "Oh, I don't 'do' politics" etc. It's always amazed me how people could be so out of touch with truth. Your book addresses important issues at just the right time. I'll be picking it up....

as a shameless plug...I'm also a writer...
I've written an historical fiction novel and have been writing a conservative column for years...
