Welcome to the group. I would suggest reading the book "Bully Boy" Before you add Teddy Roosevelt to the list of responsible Republicans.
Otherwise great opening statement.

Ohhhh LOL! :-D

I am afraid you miss one very BIG and significant aspect of just what is needed for the RepubliCan't Party to get its Act back to being the RepubliCAN Party of this Country!

It is the Dimocrat Socialist who GROUP People!

By listing all the fractured special interest "Groups";

YOU commit the Exact Same Political Suicide McAmnesty did!

His betrayal of Americans for the La-Raza support not only lost me;

But;

Did NOT actually swing a single Special Interest La-Raza supporter away from the Dimocrat Socialist Party they Love!

Even though the Republican Party actually HAS been INCLUSIVE of Blacks and Hispanics 10-1 more than the Dimocrats, Dim Supporters STILL throw their Special Interest support to the Special Interest Party!

Yeah! They actually ARE that DUMB!

So FORGET ABOUT THEM!

FYI- Many MILLIONS of Americans DO NOT VOTE!

What is needed, is a REAL "Change" Candidate to come out that will get us to!

What did I want to be able to vote for-But COULDN'T-AGAIN!!!?

Enforcement of our Federal Labor Laws!
A Slowing Down of Visas-Until Wages and Un-Employment are Fixed!
VA Hospitals Expanded, and made the Un-Insured Patient Hospital to go to!
REGULATION of the World's biggest Oxymoron: "Controlled Substances"!
No more "Special Treatment" based on Race or Gender!
Flat, and Fair Taxation!

And more!

I can accept Socialism when it is for Social Services, but not for what should be Private enterprises!

Medicine, Insurance, Financing, Military, Law Enforcement, Schooling and more, SHOULD be "Socialized"!

Private Practice SHOULD be allowed to COMPETE, if the beneficiaries feel they are willing to pay for the difference!

Enough for your Minds to try to digest for now...

After listening to the President now tell us he is honoring automakers warranties & ONLY leaders were responsible for Detroits failures w/ no mention of union contracts work rules benefits etc. I realize if we do not act soon, we will be a socialist stae totally dependent on those who control the process. Soon, Obama will pull a Chavez & ask for the limit on re-election to be lifted because he is helping us in these important times!

I'm for inclusion, but not to the extreme where we compromise the described Reagan principles. There is no faster way to water down and destroy a movement than to begin currying favor with its ideological opposite, in this case, the media and liberals.

We let them pick our candidate in 2008 and we can see how that turned out.

As in 1994, the bellwether issue will be the Second Amendment. Obama is doing his best to do an end run around the Constitution and Bill of Rights by using his Democrat stooges, and useful idiots within our party, like Specter and Hatch, to cover for him and hide the legislation until the last possible moment. IN other words, to front for his breaking another of his campaign lies.

Barring that, they will dictate the confiscation terms as part of some UN treaty or other international NGO mandate like the Global Governance Initiative.

There is NO compromise on this issue. No middle ground. The Second Amendment must be a plank in the party platform, no matter what other changes may come.

I have already met with a couple of hundred Republicans. We believe the party must return to its Ronald Reagan principles. We are working to reform rules that favor the nomination of RINO candidates. We have two websites up:
www.roar-usa.ning.com and
www.roar-usa.com

We need to form coalitions with all conservatives and we will offer a new Contract With America before the 2010 elections. Please contact me offline and let's figure out how we can work together more closely for our mutual goals.

Respectfully,

Hi KT,

Excellent points, I especially like the welcome list...

I have one comment, and that is on what the Democrats have offered:

The Democrats have bought the votes of the weak willed. The did it overtly and covertly like the first round of stimulus checks. And now they're upping the ante. Soon the government will be in stroking everyone's ego, and slipping them a few coins, while saying it's OK, we'll take care of you. And only a very few will have the strength of character to say: "Enough, if feels good, but it's wrong!"

It's time to start shaming the lazy and the takers, and if that doesn't work then stronger medicine, will be called for. We shun them and their weakness, we stop performing for our supper and let the lazy do for themselves what they now demand that we do for them. The child must be given responsibilities if he is to grow up into a responsible adult.

Support The FairTax!

Statement of Purpose – Reform Republicans

The Republican Party, both nationally and in the New York state, has fractured. The coalition President Reagan built - of fiscal conservatives, pragmatic national security hawks, and social conservatives – is no more.

In the last decade the Republican Party has abandoned limited but effective government in favor of big government programs and less oversight. It has engaged in ambitious undertakings overseas but often without allocating the means or plans necessary to achieve them. It has tarnished the Republican reputation for competence and integrity by allowing corporate kleptocracy and influence peddlars to infect its ranks. Clearly, we have lost our way, and the voters have responded accordingly.

Yet, while the party of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Ronald Reagan may be down and out, it is not dead and buried. Our core beliefs – of personal choice, individual accountability, self-reliance, fiscal responsibility and ethical government - are still sound. We need to reconnect with them. But we also must recognize it is not enough to dust off our old policies to solve the problems of a new era. It is not enough to just re-brand the Republican Party, we must reform and redefine it. We must do what Lincoln and Roosevelt and Reagan before us did – reconnect with our principles and make them relevant to today’s and tomorrow’s problems – not yesterday’s. We must do so by reaching out to all parts of our society – to women, young people, Hispanics, Asians, African-Americans, Eastern Europeans, legal immigrants – and not merely tolerate their presence but actively encourage their participation. We must also tolerate within our ranks differences of opinion on many issues. This does not lessen their importance - to some and in some regions they are critical. But if we insist on dozens of litmus tests for being a Republican, we will never again be a national party with appeal to a broad range of Americans.

The goal of the Reform Republican movement is to offer a place where we can debate the issues. Our aim is to start by creating an online community. We will build upon that base to encourage candidates for party and public office, first for local and state positions, ultimately for national office. We offer an online community where people of all shades of Republican can come and offer their ideas, engage with each other, and reignite the flame that our forbearers nurtured.

We welcome Conservatives, Independents, lapsed Republicans, Progressives, disenchanted Democrats, flat taxers, balanced budgeters, neo-cons, paleo-cons, pro-choicers and pro-lifers. We do not presume to dictate a new Republican manifesto out of whole cloth. We do aim to offer the threads that can be knit together into a new coalition by a new generation of leaders. Out of necessity, past political movements have often been driven from the top down. Networking technology and new media make it possible for the political movements of the future to grow from the grassroots up.

Join with us, offer your ideas, critique the thoughts of others, help us find a way to make our core beliefs relevant again. It is a daunting task, but an exciting one. It is a once in a generation opportunity to create a new political movement suited for the solving the problems of today using the technology of tomorrow. If we succeed, we will transform not only our Party, but help lead our country out of difficult times so that we can, once more, say it is Morning in America.
