Well If I make it to congress, there will be 52. The only problem is you need 218 in the house, 60 in the senate and 1 in the white house. It will take some work, but it has to be done strategically, otherwise it'll never leave committee

Your absolutely correct. There is no tip toeing. I will stand up for all of Ohio, and all of my district. The thing is, I can stump and speak and write legislation if I win, but it won't do anygood if it doesn't get passed or signed. I'm not saying a long stance. I would push for the Fair Tax by the 2nd year of my term. Not only would it give time to start working tax cuts all around, but it could potentially make it a big issue during the 2012 election. The best way to get things that are deamed un popular by the Washington elitists is make it an issue during a major election cycle. Bring it to the front of everyone's attention. The democrats, and moderate Republicans did a good job of suppressing the issue this past election. I would not let that happen.

I have read about the fairtax. The thing about it though is that in the curret form it is in, it would never get passed both houses and the whitehouse. Some of the details that were worked out to cover those unemployed and with very low income levels are items that concern most of the people in Washington. So for it to come about, It would have to come in small gradual steps. Thus, I would propose the way I stated to you earlier. This will bring something about gradually, and therefore, make it more likely to get pushed through congress.

Thank you for your concerns and imputs as far as the Fair Tax goes. I agree with you whole heartedly. My concern is with so many people living on limited incomes right now because of unemployment, it will hurt the ones who are struggling because it would raise the price of goods. I think that a drastic tax cut across the board for now would be a great start. I would even think about a flat tax. Once things turn around, more people are working, then I would most definitely push for a fair tax. Thats the fairest, and most constitutional way I can think of.
