- The exam to be a citizen is conducted in English. The test administrator asks the person 10 questions about our country, govt, etc. The person has to answer 6 correctly. the list of the 100 potential questions is at http://www.preguntasdeciudadania.com/preguntas.You have to demonstrate you have basic English skills in reading, writing and speaking. The interviewer also will ask the person to read 3 sentences in English and write 3 sentences the interviewer reads aloud.Examples of these sentences are also at the website i listed.
As for Sotomayor, her approval will not upset the current balance, so I think Republicans should save their ammunition for the next candidate. The dems have used the Sotomayor nomination to blast the Republicans big time.The Hispanic press has blasted the reps over this.I think she should be approved. Her culture has no effect as a judge. The only function of the SC is to invalidate legislation and executive actions are against the Constitution. I have read comments that she should not be approved because she has type 1 diabetes and her judgement could be impaired. That is absurd.

- Thanks, Steve. I know the grassroots Republicans know that the party is way off course. My friends and I are aghast. What happened to the party of Goldwater, Nixon and Reagan? I am hoping the leadership wakes up before it is too late. Democrats are not the answer - but while they remain the only option for the middle class, the Republicans will never regain their reputation or their power.

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color, especially Florida.
With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat House seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.
