Thank you for visiting my page

My name is Tan Lam, a science teacher. This year I decided to run for public office to represent our residents whose average income is $15,000 less than surrounding areas. Education has suffered. Students perform poorly in math and science. Education is half of what has been achieved in surrounding areas.

Growing up During the Vietnam War and in five refugee camps taught me the values of prudence, hard work, and caring. I was one of the "boat people" from Vietnam. I arrived in the U.S. had only 4th grade education. With help I eventually enrolled and graduated from an Ivy League college. I want the family and children to have the same opportunity to achieve the American Dream that I have had.

I agree with Rebuild the Party that "we can refuse to take this defeat lying down, and start building the future of our party now. " And we must win the Internet war.

I believe that I have de novo approaches to win back the state and local government in 2010 and to lead the fight for the White House in 2012. Currently I am working with Republican supporters in Washington State on my ideas. I hope that it will work, and we will have the opportunity to work with other Republican colleagues in the future.

Your story is incredible! Thank you so much for sharing.

What are your specific ideas for fixing education in your area?

Dear Tan,

I spent the last half of 1969 in Vietnam west of Phu Bai. I was part of C Company 2/501 of the 101st Airborne Division (Airmobile). I returned to Vietnam in May of 1971 for a year in Saigon as part of Company B 716th MP BN. I worked most of that year as the MP Dest Sergeant at CPOC, the 'Combined Police Operations Center" . I had an office in the Canh Sat National Headquarters at 666 Tran Hung Dao street where I supervised MP's as well as 22 Canh Sat and 22 Quan Canh every day.

Vietnam was a beautiful country and Saigon a beautiful city. I found your history and people fascinating. I have been pissed off for almost forty years that we (the USA) sold out the Vietnamese who trusted us and worked with us. We could and should have won the war.

Merry Christmas!

Dean

Needless to say, I am always proud and impressed when anyone lays it on the line for America to run for public office at ANY level. Congratulations - you obviously bring a wide and unique perspective to governance - go for it!

Tan,

I appreciate your decision to take a stand and run for office. If you would could to add me to your email list and during your campaign send me your updates. My personal email is: stepsexton@hotmail.com

Also, Do you have a plan or suggestion to help rebuild the Republican party?

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.

Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.

With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.

With the Gov of IL in trouble trying to sale a senate seat, Democrates are on the ropes. Now is the time for Republican Grassroots to move as a party to share the Republican message.

Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.
