Palin resigned, allowing her Lt. Governor to become an independent and almost gauranteeing his election. Also it kills any attacks that could be leveled at her as a lame duck governor and allows her to be free to do as she pleases.

I found and article on NewsMax.com today stating that 86% of the American people vote for a restriction of Abortion. The American people continue to move to the pro-life perspective on abortion according to the latest Moral Compass survey by the Knights of Columbus and Marist Poll.
