Hi, Tricia. I did not realize you were that Tricia. Sorry you have been sick. Yes, I think the June 1st event was very successful, and I'm sure teamwork Toledo gained a list of volunteers that night to work on getting the petitions signed. I told Scott that I think it is essential that candidates get info out about their backgrounds and views as soon as possible, so people have a reason to jump in and start helping. Kevin in particular made some excellent points, and I would like to hear more. For example, he explained that keeping the number at 12 instead of 9 increases the chance of having a greater impact on decisions, because of adding conservative voices to the council.
Toledoans: I attended a very encouraging meeting tonight at the Sanger Library hosted by the Children of Liberty, where several new candidates for Toledo City Council introduced themselves. They were all conservative and motivated to do their part to turn the city back to common sense, to restore safety and fiscal responsibility, and bring back jobs to the area. Their names are: John Adams, Jr., Steven Warden, Kevin Milliken, David Washington (also known as PREZ), Ty Daniels, and Michael Watson. Tricia Lyons was not present, but she is also a part of Teamwork Toledo, which has a new website: www.teamworktoledo.com and email address: teamworktoledo@hotmail.com. Steven Warden is not a part of that group but also spoke very well and shows both knowledge and conservative values that would serve Toledo well.
Do you have a plan or suggestion to help rebuild the Republican party?
I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.
Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.
With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.
Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.
Thank you Tricia -- Great pic you have there. I saw Palin speak twice during the campaign -- she was the ONLY bright spot in a decidedly dismal and somewhat pathetic McCain campaign. The only frustrating part was I could not smack down all those arrogant imputient little pecksniffs who were running her down with the outrageous allegations.
