My name is Wes Retherford, and I want to be the next Butler County Commissioner

Yes, that is a cliche, but so are all the promises of politicians. All these fresh new ideas, are all old ideas with new twists. I want to return to the principles of Jefferson, Lincoln and Ronald Reagan (who I share initials with by the way). Its not about politics with me, or conservative or liberal, republican or democrat. It is about doing the right thing.
I look at my two young children and think, that their children will being paying for the mess these so called representatives are causing. I am running as a true public servant. Thats what George Washington said about the government. "Government was meant for a few honest public servants to go to Washington, do their part for a few years, and retire to the family farm" Unfortunely, political office is the family farm to these so called servants. They just tell us what we want to hear, when they need us to vote.
IT IS TIME FOR OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO REALIZE THEY WORK FOR US, WE OWN THEM AND WE GIVE THEM, THEIR EXISTANCE., NOT VICE-VERSA.
I still believe that this is the best country in the history of man kind, and I still believe that our basic government and the fundementals upon which it was created is still stronger than anyother. I believe where we went wrong is politicians, they are the problem.
