A slight bow is a sign of respect; the 90 degree bow is just plain goofy.

Not saying she's not going to run or shouldn't run - however, Carmelo, she could & would do that, taking the slings & arrows, if she really believes in our country. Regardless of future office aspirations, she is doing a great service for all of u...

Huck was not among my top tier in any case. Regardless of the circumstances, this will be a "Willie Horton" incident. He's doing a good job with his show & radio updates, staying there would not be a negative for him or the country.

There may be a few who "worship" Reagan. The VAST majority, however, understand that it's the principles & values of Reagan that are paramount.

Damn the deficit: Full speed ahead on health care

Double-digit. That hyphenated adjective has been used most often recently to describe October's 10.2 percent unemployment rate. But it can also be used to describe the federal budget deficit as a percentage of the gross domestic product. That precise number is not yet known, but it may turn out to have a more dire effect on our national life than October's unemployment rate.

In the fiscal year just ended, federal spending was nearly 25 percent of GDP while federal revenues slipped below 1

Republicans Unveil Contract with Colorado

DENVER -- Colorado Republicans unveiled Monday the Contract with Colorado, a conservative set of principles aimed at boosting the party's prospects in 2010 just as the Contract with America did for House Republicans in 1994.

The contract, also called the Platform for Prosperity, emerged after weeks of talks with top Republicans in order to unify the party behind gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis. The former

Dede Scozzafava is No Moderate

We've discussed NY-23 roundly. One of he big mistakes I see being made is trying to say this is a conservative v. moderate issue, when it's not. This article from Deroy Murcoch details how far to the left her principles, values, & priorities are - far from the center, much less center-right.

The MSM & some of the "intellectuals" of the Republican punditocracy have tried & w… Continue

Senator Lindsey Graham, R-SC, is Imploding Politically

When Lindsay Graham decided to support cap-and-trade — a position not even some moderate Democrats can stomach — I observed that this was not only bad policy but also bad politics. And sure enough, moves like that and his support for now Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor have spelled trouble for him. This report explains:

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham’s public support is collapsing in South Carolina

http://www.toledofreepress.com/2009/06/26/advancing-the-opposition/ has an article about the state of the Repubican party in Toledo, Ohio. I got it in an email from a Republican, so maybe that is good sign.

Robin, that was my intention, to get involved with the local party, by going to the dinner, but there are serious problems in my area, so I am seeking ways to do something more than those horrible phone calls i have done before. The local leader shut down the website that had articles and meeting announcements of the different groups, reportedly because he felt they were trying to go around him, so consequently there are no local websites and no contact info for these groups. He moved the main office downtown, and I frankly do not believe it is safe to wander around town at night, which is what I would need to do park there. It used to be in a much safer area. These other groups meet at libraries and offer so much more in ways to get involved.
