Tom, the Democrats have demonstrated the power "new" media has in attracting and forming popular oppinion. The only thing I would change in your expose is in the second paragraph when you said we need to appeal to the "Republican values". I think ...

Grassroots is the way to go

My general take is going to be that it's going to take every one to win one. It's like a digital picture, thousands and millions of tiny dots come together to make a crystal clear, precise image of something beautiful. If one or more of those dots is out of place or undeveloped, the pixillation makes the whole thing not look like it should.

So, starting today, I'm going to find one person and begin sharing with them the superiority of conservative principles. I'm not talking about candidates (yet), in fact, I'm deliberately going to steer conversations away from candidates for the time being.

Soon enough, there will be time to talk about candidates. That job will be much easier if we've progressed toward agreement on values & principles.

Who's your one? Will you get one? Will you help your one get one?

Pass it on.

Jason,

Thanks for the note. I have been following RU. Great stuff. Haven't had much time to blog lately... Been focusing inward. Too much to vent on - not really sure where to begin. It is really absurd what is going on. I would say that Reality has definitely unwound.

Locally, I have reinvigorated my pro-life efforts. Trying to head up our Parrish's pro-life organization and help get as many postcards sent in to counter FOCA as possible. I am coordinating the overnight shifts for the next 40 days for life vigil which is going to be all consuming.

I am trying through all of thid to balance my political involvement with family life... not an easy task. Twitter has really taken a back seat as of late. May try to reinvest in that soon.

Take care and God bless!

Do you have a plan or suggestion to help rebuild the Republican party?

I look forward to working with you and all Republicans to return this nation to its conservative Republican background and return those states we lost back to the right color - Red.

Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Iowa all former Red states. How is the time for grassroots Republicans to stand up for the right and fight for the basics the GOP has stood for.

With the election of Joseph Cao in Lousianna and taking a Democrat seat, things are starting to look up for 2010.

With the Gov of IL in trouble trying to sale a senate seat, Democrates are on the ropes. Now is the time for Republican Grassroots to move as a party to share the Republican message.

Never give up, Never quit, Never fail, Always reaching, the GOP will be back.

Although there's not many conservatives in Austin, the conservatives here, especially fiscal conservatives/Paul-supporters, are knowledgeable and vocal. Thanks for the word!

Hi, I’m Katie, I’m new to Rebuild the Party, but I am so excited about Sarah Palin, and really just ready to help further the conservative agenda! I have been really active in Team Sarah, and just found this site! I’m looking for ways to get involved. Every day I mark it down on my Sarah Palin Calendar, so that at the end of the year I know I did everything I could possibly do. I just think having a calendar with a cause reminds you ever day to do something proactive!

I seldom check messages on this site, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Shoot me a message at rasamuelson@gmail.com or find me on facebook. I got plugged into the Travis County Republican Party this year when we elected a new chairman. I'm working on recruiting new people and precinct chairs into the party in Travis County. I've also got some great connections in Round Rock & Cedar Park in Williamson County.

Our generation of the 35 and under crowd must be heard and must begin stepping up into leadership positions or our Party will die and there will be limited opportunities for us to share our values with our elected officials and build new grassroots support for our principles.

I agree wholeheartedly with your take... Fight the battle one principle at a time. I blog at http://disloyalopposition.wordpress.com. Stop by and visit. I would love any comments.

Hey! I haven't back because I am still trying to figure out this whole website deal. I am still reeling from the loss on NOV 4-- I worry about our State and its future due to the wave of hispanic voters going democrat-- also the innercity is trending further towards DEM-- this due to alot of people moving here from other cities who enjoy our low tax conservative policies but want to redefine our city as a more liberal one
