Enough on allowing protectionism for the rest of the world!!!

Under the lie of plans that in no way represent "free trade" america has been allowed to be SETUP and support protectionism for the world and to destroy the US in the process...

Its time to put things back in balance. Support the mirror trade plan by Duncan Hunter ..aka the equity border tax plan of 2007-2008...

Tyler- teabombs, great idea to get people involved long before the election season starts.
Several weeks before the New York 23rd Special Congressional election I started researching the local political scene and thought that even though the Republican candidate had competition from the "Conservative Party" candidate one of them would prevail because that area of the state has been represented in Congress by a Republican since the Party was a "third party" in the 1850's and greatly outnumbered the Democrats in voter registration.
Yet, the Republican voters, Click Underlined Link: Did Not Show-Up On Election Day

these are comments from our people in the LA TIMES concerning their reputible sources

this is over veiw first from times

not only quotes the Anchorage Daily News, but cites its comment board as its sources judging Gov. Palin's energy program. The author Margot Roosevelt is really impressed with the 530 commenters, wow, 530, they must be right. How pathetic can they get? Unfortunately, they can probably get lower than this.

"But Alaskans are skeptical. "Sounds good but has no substance," wrote Moosemom, one of more than 530 commenters on the report in the Anchorage Daily News. Riverspots opined that the governor should have used the $500 million for the gas pipeline "to build a wind farm that could power all of Anchorage." And Polarbearlost huffed, "Gov. Palin is a visionary only for herself... Visionary to her means she can see Russia from her house."

Needless to say, Margot Roosevelt is a Harvard grad, and an advocate of Global Warming, so she must be right. I searched the web, but couldn't find an email address for her, too bad.

So Sarah Palin sets a goal for renewable energy that is TWICE what Barack Obama is calling for from the states - and you criticize her? This reminds me of when the MSM criticized Palin for not accepting a pay raise. Then you devote 20% of your article to a commenter trashing her online? You aren't even good at pretending that you are fair.

Next time you write an article on Palin, make sure you contact me for a quote. That would be fair right? I'm a commenter, too.

For one thing, taking comments left on the Anchorage Daily News site is useless. If you bothered to look at the history of comments on any story related to Gov. Palin, you would have found that the overwhelming majority of them are negative, as is the reporting by the ADN. The majority of the comments are not from Alaskans, but from people as far away as FL, WI, MN, and even Europe, and India. The 0bama camp has targeted her for defeat in 2010, and one of their tactics is to flood Alaska's newspapers with negative comments about her, much like they did nationwide during the election. By utilizing the ADN, and their comment board as a source totally discredits your report. I'm guessing that actually reading the report she produced would be more work than you would care to do.

Tyler,

There have been several suggestions for fixing the Primary problem. Most center around some form of rotating regional primaries, where sections of the country (Northeast, Southwest, etc.) hold primaries/conventions on one day. The schedule would change each 4 years so that no one section of the country would have a permanent advantage. My personal opinion is that going last (as in this Democratic contests) could be the most influential. I truly think that someday soon we will see a situation where 3 or 4 viable candidates go to the Convention, and the Convention will again play its real role in selecting the candidate.

Tyler,
Thanks for the friend invite. I voted in the Chairman poll, but had to vote "other" because Ken Blackwell was not one of the choices. I firmly believe he would be the best of the group of 6 who are running, although a couple of others would be almost as good. I didn't vote in the national Primary poll because I think there are a lot more choices than the status quo and having all the primaries on the same day. I'm afraid the latter would have so many negative, unintended consequences that no one would ever want to repeat it if it were tried.

Thanks,

Les Gabriel
