People, let's not be fooled - One Republican signing onto a sloppy, Congressionally mismanaged bill hardly qualifies as "a bipartisan majority".
Rather, Saturday - in a rare weekend session - the House of "Representatives" demonstrated history in completely NEGLECTING the majority of the voters they were elected to REPRESENT.
As the proper means of government in the United States - a representative democracy, it is we the people who have the final say in our government's intrusions.

Congratulations to the ultra-conservatives who helped put another Democrat in Congress from a seat that has been held by a Republican representative for over 100 years.
Now for the next two years we will have not only someone who is NOT a social conservative, but someone who is also not a JUDICIAL conservative nor an ECONOMIC conservative representing yet another Northeast congressional district.
Nancy Pelosi is delighted. Rahm Emmanuel is delighted...
Do any of the right wing crazies begin t… Continue
As all of us with health care programs we don't want to lose watch in horror as our self-centered "representatives" follow the pork and personal favors toward the destruction of 85% of the health care in this country to provide a vastly substandard socialized single-payer plan in preparation for 15% of the population who do not have it.

Hey, I want New York Congressman Charlie Wrangle to do my tax returns, buy my real estate, raise under the table contributions for my favored political candidates and sit as chairman of the House Tax and Government Services Committee to write my tax laws for me...
Good grief, this guy is a gift to anyone who wants a poster boy for someone entrenched in Congressional corruption from far too many years in office...
OK - he's a war hero (genuine) but - he's also completely out of touch with the r… Continue
Brian Darling of Heritage.org shares Congress's Secret Plan to Pass Health Care
President Obama and liberals in Congress seems intent on passing comprehensive health care reform, even though polls suggest it is unpopular with the American people. And… Continue
During President Obama's address to the combined Congressional audience on Wednesday night, in front of a national audience, we could observe the following:
1.A Congressman from South Carolina loudly interrupting a state address and calling the President of the United States “a liar”.
2.The Minority Whip of the Republican House of Representatives noodling on his blackberry in the middle of the speech – in full view of television cameras and photographers,
3.Republican Congressmen holding sig… Continue

It just blows my mind that THIS is the best they can do. That instead of looking at ways to reduce healthcare costs so more Americans could afford coverage, their knee-jerk reaction is to tax our businesses to help fund their $2 trillion "plan."
I want people to be able to afford healthcare. I just don't see how that can happen if every move Congress makes increases the burden on our alread… Continue
Dear Mr. President, Senators Udall and Bennet, Congressman Polis, and the U.S. Congress:
From the Recovery Act on we as the entity that you answer to, the American citizens, have had legislation rammed down our throats at break-neck speed. We were told this would be the most responsible and transparent presidential administration and congress in history, yet where the rubber hits the road you have all proven the exact opposite. 1,000-1,300 page legislative monstrosities have been hurled at not… Continue

Monolithic agribusiness & biotech corporations like Monsanto are gaining more and more power over our food supply, thanks in part to Congress creating policies that give them competitive advantage while harming small farmers & competitors, but also because we consume their products every day, without knowing it.

We need to get ordinary individuals to enter the political process.
They don't need to know ANYTHING.
All they do is to ask one question and that is
DOES THIS BILL INCREASE THE
SIZE OF THE GOVERNMENT?
INCREASE THE COST OF THE GOVERNMENT?
EXTEND THE REACH OF THE GOVERNMENT?
OR DOES IT INCREASE THE POWER OF THE GOVERNMENT?
If it does I will VOTE NO for the above reasons.
Let's run for Congress kiddies and kick out all the bogie's in DC.

I just don't care who our President is now and I think we should all stop pointing fingers at him as the root of all evil. What? Yes, what I say is true. Blasphemer in our midst you say? No. Before you start looking for the rail to run me out of town upon, you should probably wait for that catch you likely saw coming a mile a way.
Congress. Stop complaining about the current President and start really focusing on what our deplorable Congress is able to accomplish. Do you already know this? Cert… Continue
Email to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and GOP Chair Michael Steele
VERY IMPORTANT FROM A CONSERVATIVE FORUM:
This question is asked by many, elucidated by one:
"Where are the Republicans presenting their alternative? Zero (aka 0bama) repeatedly pointed out in his “news conference” last night that the Republicans haven’t come up with their alternative. They need to get moving and get very vocal about what they would change. The public is getting fed up with all the spending. Now is… Continue
It never ceases to amaze me how the U.S. government can make a huge mistake, blame it on others, and have a large portion of the American people either believe it or just not care. This past week, with grand theatrics, official Washington raised a huge fuss over the spending by AIG of $165 million of taxpayer bailout funds for bonuses to top executives. On NBC’s Today Show Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass charged that the decision by the economically impaired AIG to pay millions in executive bonuses am… Continue
All I've heard about today is AIG and how people are just sickened and outraged that they could take our money and give out millions of dollars in bonuses.
Personally - I'm not even mad at AIG. I direct my anger almost solely at Congress and Barack Hussein Obama. If not for their beloved bailouts, none of this would even be an issue. We wouldn't be listening to Obama 'scold' AIG because he feels that he has the right now that the government owns 80% of it.
This false concern about where OUR mo… Continue
