Republicans Versus Independents
Recent news reports and polling strongly indicate that people self-reporting as Independent voters are growing disenchanted with many of the policies of the Obama administration.
On the surface, this should give a shot of confidence to the Republican party struggling to reassert itself after resounding electoral setbacks in the 2006 and 2008 elections.
But a curious thing is happening with the ranks of Independent voters: most of the people… Continue
First off let me explain why I am defending Muslims beyond the fact that I feel as an American who actually wants to uphold the principals and values of Tolerance and Equality in America, I look at myself. Let me face it, I’m a Irish/Italian, Former Catholic now Pagan who has a Gay Brother. Yea, pretty much all of that strikes me away from having any inclination toward social conservatives. The later two are more current issues but hey, the situation with the Muslims and many minorities is simil… Continue
"Senator DeMint has become the most beloved United States Senator in the Conservative movement over the past several months, as the Conservative blogosphere has touted his actions, his comments have annoyed liberals like only a true threat could, and his devotion to liberty does not take into account whether or not his stance is popular."

As my friend, Nathan (my informant) said to me,
"You got to love archives!"
The Standard, an African news source, in June of 2004,
posted an article on Obama's Illinois senatorial race.
The article began with:
"Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama,
appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat..."Click Here -- for info on this story, or copy/paste the following… Continue
I had the pleasure of meeting with Todd Herman at the RNC to discuss the new GOP.com
What I liked about the new site was the state group function where I could upload pictures, videos, and documents specific to my state. There are a lot of manuals, guides, fundraising charts etc.. that are specific to my state (regulations, laws, limits etc..) and I can now ensure that everyone from my state visiting GOP.com can have access to these documents and manuals.
Todd Herman in the… Continue
It has long been my contention that if we are to return to some sort of sanity in our government, it would be up to those of us on the ground to do so. There is plenty of talk on the web and elsewhere about 3rd parties and going Independent etc., but the reality is that, in order to retake control of the House in 2010, we must utilize the structure and the money of the GOP. However, it is high time that we do what the progressives did to the Democrat party in the early 2000's. We, the grassroots… Continue
SayNow is a popular communication tool with bands. It's a free service and from the website, they describe it as: "SayNow lets you chat LIVE with new people and send messages to your community from your phone anytime!"
While web video is easier than ever, there is nothing like the simplicity of using your cell phone to dial a number and give a quick campaign trail update to your activists and volunteers.
And if you have worked on any campaign… Continue
Do you want to be taken seriously?
Do you want to have both a positive and lasting impact on American politics?
Talking about secession is an excellent way to defeat your own purpose.
Hysteria is an excellent way to marginalize the way people treat what you say.
“The frantic efforts to paint our first black president as the Other, a foreigner, socialist, fascist, Marxist, racist, Commie, Nazi; a cad who would snuff old people; a snake who would indoctrinate kids”

"The G.O.P. used to be the party of business. Well, to compete and win in a globalized world, no one needs the burden of health insurance shifted from business to government more than American business. No one needs immigration reform — so the world’s best brainpower can come here without restrictions — more than American business. No one needs a push for clean-tech — the world’s next great global manufacturing industry — more than American business. Yet the G.O.P. today resists national… Continue

Lets see here, a article by a Madeline Koch of Minnisota. Personally I like what she has to say for the party to reach out to my generation, the Millenial Generation. Basicly we need to be more inclusive, less combative but definitly strong on the economy and defense as she puts it. Each of her points can be summarized.
1. We need to be more inclusive on the social issues, the fact is my generation is more accepting of… Continue
An excellent essay by Lee Edwards, Ph. D., The End of Conservatism?, detailing the ups and downs of the Conservative movement in post-WWII America.
A must read for those who might otherwise lose hope.
One of my favorite observations from the article:
"Let us be clear about one thing: Republicans lost in 2008 and 2006 not because they ran on conservative ideas but because they ran away from conservative ideas."
A lot of you Rebuilders are itching to get active, to finally do something for our cause after the losses we suffered in 2008.
This is your chance. We need to help wage a massive GOTV effort to push Jim Tedisco over the finish line on March 31st. The GOTV operation will start on March 27th and conclude on the evening of March 31st (victory night, if we can make it happen).
Need to know more about GOTV, and how you can be part of this process to help the GOP in the blue northeast? Watch… Continue
The GOP platform has long been strongly pro-life for quite sometime, in no small part to President Reagan's strong pro-life stance. Michael Steele has indicated, however, that abortion is not a central issue, that other issues trump that one. In an interview that may lose the Huckabee Republicans, Steele made these statements:
LISA DEPAULO: How much of your pro-life stance, for you, is informed not just by your Catholic faith but by the fact that you were adopted?
MICHAEL STEELE: Oh, a lot. Ab… Continue
If you don't already belong to a group why not attend a local GOP meeting? I'm looking forward to seeing what may already be happening locally with existing groups. The North Pinellas Republican Club meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Palm Harbor Public Library at 6:30pm. I will be attending.
If we're trying to rebuild the party then we need to be involved. So lets get out there (if we're not already) and see what going on and what we can do to help.
Who wants to join me this Thursday? Continue
Our nation was blessed by the wisdom of three men in the past century. Alfred Sloan was a management genius who built General Motors into a colossus. General George C. Marshall reached past a generation of senior generals to select four younger men to lead our troops against the Nazi’s in World War II, and then developed the plan to rebuild war-torn Europe. Jack Welch became the model of a chief executive and built GE into the most prolific training ground for successful corporate chief executiv… Continue
