A lot of campaigns for 2010 are going mobile, or at least considering options on how to do it. For those that may be confused I'm referring to using text messages for your campaign.
Currently, text messaging is "cool" and "modern" for campaigning but let's review the real value of text messaging.
- GOTV - it's critical to communicate instantly with your voters on, or near Election Day. However, those that subscribe to your text messaging program are probably the LEAST likely to need a reminder…

This is from
Newt Gingrich on
Human Events. It is based on his speech to the Senate-House annual dinner.
I'll hit the highlights:
...It occurred to me, sitting in the audience preparing to speak, that those seven words -- “Don’t tell me it can’t be done” -- should be the rallying cry for all Republicans (not to mention all…

I was just reviewing some stats from the
Pew Internet & American Life Project about the internets role in the 2008 election and came across some pretty impressive stats.
"Some 74% of internet users--representing 55% of the entire adult population--went online in 2008 to get involved in the political process or to get news and information about the election."
Sure, we can debate the differences…

This may well be last post, something that will cause most people here to pop the cork on a bottle of champagne, but I sure do miss the Republican Party. Not the New GOP of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Anne Coulter or Sarah Palin, but the party of gifted visionaries like Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan and Jack Kemp. I remember when the Democratic Party was the party of ignorant roughnecks and Republicans were the smart guys. I remember when Republicans believed in empowering people, staying away…

Republicans are making a lot of mistakes. In case you haven't notice, the country is in meltdown and like it or not, Republicans are the ones blamed for it. Therefore, if Republicans want to regain power, they have to take the lead in finding real solutions, not just criticizing others. Simply blocking the democratic proposals and hoping that they fail is a sure way to never regain power. And word up, tax cuts won't get us out of this mess. It is going to take government spending - but smart tar…

As you probably know, Gov Paterson has appointed Congresswoman Kristin Gillibrand to replace Hillary Clinton in the U.S. Senate. Not too long ago, this seat used to be owned by Republicans for 14 yeas (Gillman, Sweeney).
The district is in eastern up-state New York bording VT, MA, and CT.

The 2008 Cook Report listed the 20th District as "Likely Democratic,"…

Earlier this week, we closed the questions period on the
Rebuild the Party / YouTube RNC Candidates Forum and posted our ten official questions. Questions were ranked according to popularity and chosen according to
the following criteria: that they be germane to the job of RNC Chairman, that each question ask about a unique topic (meaning no duplicates), and th…

OK. I joined RtP early on, and encouraged my sphere of influence to do the same.
Rebuild the Party has come a long way in a few short months. It started with promoting a 10 point program to strengthen and modernize the Party with an emphasis on using technology and the internet. It has successfully promoted this plan to five of six candidates for RNC Chairmanship, has organized itself as a 501(c)4 non-profit, and created a website where members can blog. With their ability now to raise funds, R…

The Way Back
TOM DAVIS
Republicans must be wondering: Can it get any worse? As late as 2006, we held the White House and a majority in both houses of Congress. Come January, all three will be in Democratic hands – with a near-filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.
As chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee for two of its most successful cycles, I’ve seen our party in much better shape. But I’ve seen it in worse shape as well.
Republicans rebounded from landslide l…

On Christmas, politics takes a backseat to the birth of Christ, the savior.
The political divisions created by differing opinions are put aside so that something more important can be celebrated…..life. A life of goodness, goodness of purpose and intention. The type of goodness Christ tried to bring our world. The type of goodness that has faith in mankind and that wishes comfort and joy to all.

On this night, whether to the left or to the right, Politics disappears and there is no fight. Christmas Eve is here, and Santa is near. So be not grumpy, just be a dear.
Celebrate Christmas, with all its cheer.
With Christmas Eve upon us we take the time to put aside our differences and forget the overburdening taxation, intrusive policies and misguided direction of Democrats.

As many call a truce in political negativity for the Christmas holiday, some politicians and political wannabes wont be focusing on Santa or practicing any piety over the birth of Christ.
No,……. I am not talking about atheists.
Whatever they believe or do not believe is their business, not mine, and as long as they do not try to stifle my celebration of the holiday, their not celebrating it doesn’t bother me.

With the holidays upon us, family, friends, faith and other personal aspects in life come to the forefront, as they should. Although the world does not stop rotating, priorities do shift, at least for a few brief hours. Among one of the first fields of endeavor to experience a temporary cessation in hostilities is politics.
