Bringing Back Conservatism, and Ignoring Liberal Republicans Like Colin Powell, Michael Steele For RNC Chair....

I believe that we can rebuild our party, but we are going to have ignor "Rockefella Republicans" like Colin Powell....He clearly does not have any respect for Conservatives, whom are not only the base, but the Majority of the party. Why should we continue to place this man on a pedistool, when he clearly thinks he's better than us, and has an ego bigger than any football stadium in the United States.
Personally, I feel Colin Powell has overestimated his importance, and he didn't seem to have a problem with Conservatives when they were advancing his career, he would not be Nationally known, if it were not for them......Now he continues to attack Sarah Palin, for no good reason, she has never done anything to him, and She was on the loosing Presidential Ticket, she's back in Alaska trying to run her state. After, attacking Palin, the following week he goes after Rush Limbaugh, and says the Republicans should throw him out (Rush has no official title in the party) and support any efforts that Democrats will put forth to reign in Conservative Talk.....Has Colin Powell lost his mind? He certainly sounds insane to me...We had his kind of candidate in John McCain, and stabbed him in the back, and supported Obama......I mean really. The reason why have had two devastating election cycles is because there are too many Republicans like Powell in the party.......I really wish a big name Republican would come out and publically disagree with colin Powell.......Colin Powell needs to be thrown out of the party, and fast, if the current Republican Leadership even comes close to listening to Colin Powell they are nuts...........
For RNC Chair I am supporting Michael Steele, he is a true Conservative, and is Pro-Life, reguardless of the lies that certain intolerant groups are spreading about him. Michael has a long history here in the State of Maryland of being a Pro-Life, Conservative, in Maryland that is not an easy thing to be, so for some groups who clearly do not know what they are talking about to claim these falsehoods, is utterly ridiculous...Michael Steele, has the expierience, energy, grassroots support, name recognition, intelligence, charisma for the job, and he's very Conservative...........In closing I'd like to say I'd appreciate any comments you may have about this blog......

Colin Powell has attacked & disparaged those who have defended him against the racist slurs from the left. They type of person he says should be nominated was nominated, & Powell did not support him.

Steele is a great choice, as is Ken Blackwell & Saul Anuzis. Ken & Saul, along with Chip Saltsman (who I think would not be a bad choice) have endorsed our coalition.

Sarah Palin was an excellent addition who energized the base incredibly. It's highly unlikely that a VP can push the Presidential candidate over the top, though she came as close as anyone I can think of.

Powell has always been a politician. He is either trying to be a "power behind the throne" or a manipulator of present policy. He should be ignored as a likely tool of the Democrats, and in any event, following his policy recommendations will likely lead to failure for conservatives.

Michael Steele may well be an excellent choice. Ken Blackwell is another man who has very good instincts and policy directions and who could probably do well. As for Sarah Palin, she nearly achieved victory for John McCain, but even her abilities were not enough. We need to support her and others like her. Meanwhile, we need to add one other qualification to the RNC leadership. They need to listen to us when we tell them to stick to conservative principles.
