Congressman: Opponents To ObamaCare Are "Political Terrorists"

An Indiana congressman has called those who oppose health care bills pending in Congress, "political terrorists."

The Washington Post reports Hill made the remark in defense of his decision not to hold any town hall meetings open to his constituents to discuss the pending government-run health care bills.
"What I don't want to do is create an opportunity for the people who are political terrorists to blow up the meeting and not try to answer thoughtful questions," Hill said.
Indiana Right to Life President Mike Fichter told LifeNews.com that he wants Congressman Hill to apologize for his remarks about those who oppose the controversial health care reform proposals as "political terrorists."

"Congressman Hill's inflammatory rhetoric is an elitist insult to all of his constituents who thoughtfully and respectfully disagree with him and his party's leadership on issues such as mandated abortion coverage in Democratic health care reform proposals," he said. "This is America. People have a right to voice their opinions without being labeled political terrorists by their own congressman. Congressman Hill is elected to serve the people, not to determine which ones have a right to be heard," Fichter added.

Real Clear Politics has more on this story.

Voice your opinion to Congressman Hill since he won't let you do it in an open forum:

Contact Rep. Baron Hill by going to https://forms.house.gov/baronhill/IMA/issue_subscribe.shtml or by calling his office at 202-225-5315

Folks, send this to everyone you know, don't think because this Congressman is from Indiana and you are not that there is little you can do, on the contrary, this is a "national" issue not a just a "state" issue. By sending this to everyone you can you are informing them of the issue. I'm sure that many people have relatives, friends, associates, and contacts in Indiana that they can send this to. Don't count on the main stream news media to cover this, they will simply water it down even if they do.

This grotesquely inflammatory & derogatory rhetoric from the Democrats show they're losing & they don't know how to handle it. The attempts to shut down dissent are blatantly hypocritical, because they loved those who "disrupted" meetings when it was their flunkies. What they don't realize is that we're no one's flunkies. We've read all or part of the bill & see what's in there, & know from history what will come after it.

We need to keep the pressure up on these congressmen & senators. Those supporting the bill can't defend it by what's in it, so they resort to personal attacks. The amount of "ammo" for opposing candidates to use in 2010 is increasing almost by the minute!

Excellent post Jay!

So we can no longer talk about Islamic terrorists, but there's no problem with talking about people who are born and bred in the U.S. who simply disagree with the stupid ideas of the left. GREAT!

Now this is going to get interesting considering the very un-American "Patriot Act" is still on the books...
