As the recent news out of Detroit that the President of General Motors, Rick Waggonerwas asked to resign, proves, once a company has the Federal Government as a partner it will want to start running every aspect of the business. In this case it has been only three months! since the government gave GM and Chrysler several billion dollars for operations until they could come-up with a plan as to how they would operate in the future.

Irma- We are working on an article on the "Smart Grid"which is being promoted by General Electric as the mega corporations figure on cashing in on the hundreds of billions that are going to be spent on this,with another surccharge added to your monthly utility bill.

There should have been an uprooting from the board of directors down. What he should call for is an uprooting in congress, as well. Their lack of oversight and entitlements caused a lot of these problems.

The massive spending budget includes money for energy plan with research and development. I'm sure you've seen the commercials for the 'smart gird' by now. These pipelines will be laid all around the country. You will be able to charge and recharge these electric cars anywhere there is a charging station. We are not only helping these companies upfront but will be paying as the end user, as well. And they'll want us to think, "Oh, they're giving us a tax break to buy a new car!" HA!

GM and Ford are now offering car buyers help in paying monthly payments if they happen to lose their jobs. Now, we'll need another bumper sticker saying "HONK, if you're paying my car payments".

Our energy bill will go up to pay for the use of these cars even if you don't own one.
