Local News article about Rebuild the Party here in houston

I love this site, I have already made many connections needed to help rebuild the party. STILL, much work needs to be done, including the convincing of our own party "elites." Here is our Party Chairman in America's 3rd most populated county of Harris here in Texas dropping the ball by just simply not KNOWING!

I guess rebuillding the party means winning the hearts and minds of our OWN leadership.

Some Republicans are still licking their wounds after Obama's big win last month. Others are planning for 2010. One of the "Let's get ready for 2010" groups that has popped up is Rebuild the Party. Founded by Patrick Ruffini and Mindy Finn, both new media activists, Rebuild the Party went live less than 48 hours after Obama's victory speech.

The group's agenda is simple: rebuild the Republican party through new technology, new strategies, new candidates and a focus on one-to-one grassroots efforts.

They've put together a 10-point plan, which includes recruiting five million new Republican "online activists" (that's politico-speak for anyone from new media professionals to web-savvy folks who are willing to send out an e-mail every once in a while), identifying "40 Under 40" candidates (40% of the candidates for the next round of Congressional races should be under age 40), and making the Internet the party's number one priority in the next four years (yeah, that's why they lost the election - poor Internet capabilities).

What's going on with Rebuild the Party here in Houston? Hair Balls tried to find out and got this comment from Harris County Republican Party Chairman Jared Woodfill: "I've never heard of them."

Oops! Maybe Rebuild the Party should add an 11th point to their plan: let some Republicans know you're in business.

It's a good thing you added uninformed and naive to the heading on this post or you would have really hissed me off. That is not a good thing to hiss off an old asp. (smiley face)
Don't let my posted age fool you-----It has been said: "OLD AGE AND TREACHERY TRUMP YOUTH AND SKILL EVERY TIME."

That's one of the problems...the disconnect. Hopefully working together we can change that.

Our TN Republican communications director is Bill Hobbs, an endorser of RTP. I believe it's up to us to make sure that our Republican leaders know about RTP.
