What a Shock, Cheating in Iran's Election

Well it is official. With just over 90% of the vote in from Iran Ahmadinejad has won with over 70% of the vote. Obama has come out and said that we cannot call it what it is,"fraud." Rioting on the streets is occurring in Iran and protestors are being beaten and killed who voted for Mousavi, the pro-reformist candidate. Honestly is anybody surprised by this? Reports from the MSM, the Guardian and international newspapers are all feigning surprise at the results essentially calling Ahmadinejad the come from behind candidate. Sure if you consider putting thousands and thousands of fake votes on the ballot coming from behind. What is so scary about this beyond the ramification for our FP is that Obama seems not to want to believe that the extremists in the country rigged the election. Obama is on record saying he is responsible for why the Lebanese kept the pro-west govt in control in Parliament. Now what? Will this be viewed as an aberration by this adminstration or a sign to get tougher on Iran. My money is on the first but I hope they take the latter option.

blah, blah Amadinejah did the same Obama did here: steal the elections. With millions from corrupt muslims. Hiring hitmen from the Black Panthers to guard voting stations. And no one showed outrage! Noone showed anger at this assault to our democracy!
If Amadinejah prevails, Obama is in trouble. Expect Iran-Israel conflict by September.

I have to wonder about the sanity of the people in the WH and State Department. To have openended talks with this govt would justify and glorify to the Muslim world that the US symbolicallyn backs these election results. I am beyond shocked at this pt and downright scard. From NK, to Iran to the UN and EU this administration has it seems almost deliberately endangered and weakened this country. Now NK has another bargaining chip with two journalist hostages to force us to try and reopen 6 party talks. The only result of this can be us giving NK more money to stop developing plutonium (which they will not while we pay them to). In the end our previous president and the former administartion is being justifed in their actions and responses. I just wish this administration would see that.

I am shocked that these people do not see how serious the situation in Iran is, & continue the insanity of trying to be nice & apologetic to these thugs...

Iran was the reason Jimmy Carter was a One Term and Iran will be the reason Obama will be a One Term.

Things like this really peeve me, to put it "G" rated. Robust debate my eye, the mullahs run Iran. It's like Jimmy Carter putting the seal of approval on Venezuela's rigged elections.

What else peeves me is that this could have been avoided. Obama was not "inevitable," he could have been defeated by the right candidate. That is another reason I'm here & why we need to spread the word to activate as many good, right-thinking people to action.

Theonly robust thing going on right now in Iran is resistance in the streets by reformists in the form of protests and riots against the cheating of the hardliners.

Yes, and Obama said that he was "excited" by the robust debate in Iran. I am excited about nothing in Iran.
